It's not a great outcome, merely a could-have-been-much-worse outcome:

Afterwards Mr Mills, who was in court, welcomed the decision but said that it was a “hollow victory” as he still had to continue paying £1,100 to his former wife, 52, a qualified beauty therapist.

“I have been penalised by prudence,” he said. “It does not seem just that I have to pay her while she only works three days a week and I have to go out to work five days a week. That seems like discrimination. Surely she has responsibility to move towards financial independence. “

He added: “I am suffering the consequences of her decisions over which I had no control.”
