Well the subtext is that 100,000 people volunteered to take in Ukrainians refugees but only 1200 or so have been allowed into the country .... so it's all farcical. The whole program is for the optics not an actual solution to an actual problem. And as part of the optics, yes, men must always be called sexual predators.

I can be trusted to drive, pay ALOT of tax, work in a dangerous job, fight and potentially die for my country but not be around a single female. Can you imagine the UN branding all women as anything negative? They'd be absolute outrage. Let's assume if zi took in a single man, I could definitely not prey on him in any way or would his life not be worth protecting be the UN?

Anyone in the UK can apply to become a host on the scheme, as long as they are able to offer accommodation to a refugee for at least six months.
However, the government does not match hosts with refugees and reports suggest some people could be using social media to find vulnerable women and children fleeing the war.
A spokesman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said it would be "more appropriate" to match women and women with children with families or couples than with single men.
"Matching done without the appropriate oversight may lead to increasing the risks women may face, in addition to the trauma of displacement, family separation and violence already experienced," he added.

So single British men are sexual predators looking for easy prey? Just wow.

It seems the war of shaming on single men has started, this will only get worse as the gynocentric system we live in sees more and more men no longer pursuing the provider role. Stay alert and ignore their narratives of shaming.

Incredibly vulnerable women are being preyed upon and an undercover journalist was propositioned by multiple people. As a man, it's offensive to be lumped in with these people that are predatory garbage, but the most important thing is that these vulnerable women are not victimized further. Far more important than me as a man, feeling offended.

Women choosing to form relationships with only a limited subset of men in society leaves the remaining men without a normal regular sexual outlet. Those men aren't all going to choose to become monks, so the consequence will be increased sexual frustration which will result in unwanted sexual approaches to any available women. It's inevitable due to our fundamental biology which is all based around sexual reproduction: it's in our very DNA. Women can pretend men can keep it in their pants as much as they like, when it isn't them having to do it. Ask women to resist the urge to have a child and see how well they do.

Women are creating the very circumstances the authorities express concern about with the Ukrainian refugees.

Society needs to be facilitating mens sexual expression so that they don't have the energy or inclination to pursue other women.

It would also be much more efficient for women to pursue the men they want, than men pursuing every bit of skirt to have a chance, requiring women to reject the majority of hopeful suitors.

A bit extreme, but I can understand why. There definitely were men who used this as an opportunity to exchange hosputality with sexual favours

That said, if there are not enough women willing to host them, men should be allowed to host them too. But women wanting to host should be prioritized
