I mean, more than 50% of marriages involve infidelity at least once. Humans are not polygamous as in some "sex at dawn" fantasy, however, we are not strictly monogamous either. It's in that grey area in between that male/female sexuality - especially young sexuality - plays out.

The average woman can have sex far more easily than the average man. That doesn't mean it's impossible for the average man to get laid, this is not some "woe is me post".

However, this does mean that it is significantly easier for a young woman to rack up more sexual partners in the average man of a similar age - and I can quote relevant data from dating websites to back that up. Multiple sexual partners also is objectively correlated across multiple studies with being a much poor partner for establishing commitment (monogamy) especially for women.

So, a slut essentially a woman who isn't fit for monogamy. This is fine for most younger women because women under 30 actually out-earn the average male earnings in the United States. However the overwhelming majority of women want to attain a monogamous relationship, although the age at which they wish to do this is being pushed further and further back.

"Slut shaming", then, like most feminism, is an attempt for women - particularly the most promiscuous of women, to have their cake and eat it too. I'll note here by the way, that studies do show a slight decrease in monogamous ability for particularly promiscuous men, but it is far smaller then the effect for women, and due to these innate biological differences "slut" isn't as effective an insult to men, and this is also why "slutwalks" for men will never be a thing: there's no need, and little sympathy anyways.

Lastly, most "slutwalks" are also opportunities to gain massive amounts of attention for "a good cause". This is what leads to the paradoxical skimpiness of outfits worn by women at these events; the simultaneous female need for both hypoagency and attention.

Don't forget that for the most part, men don't slut shame women. Men loves sluts, to fuck.. we just don't want to marry them. Women are generally the one's who will slut shame other women, and the men who don't marry them.

Women want to be able to slut it up in their early fertile years and have as much cock as they can get... which is fine... guys want to get as much pussy as they can when they are young as well. It works out perfectly. However, as men age, they will continue to want to have lots of different women, and if they are building a solid career and active lifestyle, they will continue to get them.

The women one the other hand are only getting older, and less desirable for men, regardless of their career/ lifestyle choices.... women have an expiration date, while men do not, simply due to biology. Men are attracted to young sexy women.. while women are attracted to young sexy men, but also to men with wealth, prosperity, confidence, property, etc....

So, for a man, he can make up his shortcoming as he ages with more material items.. while a women, generally, only has her looks. Men don't care if she's broke, as long as she's hot and puts out. Women will settle down with an older not as attractive guy if he has a big bank account and can take care of her (and her children).

Making preferences which exclude sluts illegal?

Trying to overcome the innate revulsion most men have in marrying a slut. Its another way of coercing men to provide for them when they otherwise wouldn't. They want to, and have, made it socially acceptable to fuck everything in sight in their 20s and then expect a man in his 30s to give up 50+% of his salary to pay for her.

They want to eat their cake (sex) and have it (virtue) as well.

Its a means of reverse shaming men who are otherwise unattractive to hotdog hallways.

Define oogling? If you following them around salivating, then they're entirely in the right. Otherwise, they're just a bit hypocritical or don't understand how people interact.

And they seem to think every difference is innate many of them talk about labeling someone as a slut as though it were referring to someone with an ethnic slur. It's a choice, people have to deal with the social consequences. You may not like them, but you can either take them proudly and be who you are, or change if what others think is the deciding factor. It's your choice, but don't expect others to change so you can have it both ways.
