EDIT! For reasons unknown my fundraiser has been banned from Reddit. Everybody who asked me to send them the fundraiser link via DM, in a chat or as a reply comment, did not get the link to the fundraiser because my messages were auto deleted bey reddit. I didn't even know it was happening. So from your perspective, it's as if I ignored you, when in reality I DID reply, but reddit ghosted my replies. That's some utter bullshit. What should I do?

MAIN POST BELOW

My husband is dying due to an intestinal failure. I'm the sole breadwinner in the family, and our salary just can't cut it.

So we setup a fundraiser via GFM which actually helped bring in almost 40% of what we needed. Thank god for that, or he'd be dead already. Unfortunately, our efforts to fundraise have been met with a lot of abuse from lots of people. This includes family members, former friends, and of course tons of strangers, who have mocked and ridiculed us for being in this terrible situation and needing help.

They call him pathetic for being to sick to work. They tell me to find a "better man" because he's dying and can't work. WHAT THE FUCK! What is wrong with people? Why is it wrong for him to be sick and vulnerable????

PS: Several people have DM'd me about the Fundraiser, what should I do? Admin?

A lot of people have asked for details about his current situation. He's kept alive via a machine and bags of nutrition that are pumped directly into his chest. Changing the bags takes about 40 minutes each day and require extra care since even the small amount of dirt bacteria could give him a fatal infection due to the open line directly to an artery in his chest. I say this so that people understand that the operation does not CURE his condition, it just allows him to sustain his life. Without it, he'd die. This spring, he'll hopefully get a total colectomy and stoma, that would put an end to his terrible situation. If you want to see how he lives, here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uy7p33RNB9g
