I have a 3 year old son and I am genuinely concerned about his future as a male in the western world. In the mainstream media we are lead to believe that men are aggressors and women victims, but the following points show all is not what it seems.

Women pay 60% less income tax than men, that is £55 billion pounds less than men or it means men pay just over 70% of tax even though there are more women than ever in the workplace, so how is that equal? Women also get upto 70% of their childcare fees paid for, so they tend to get more out than they ever put in.

For every £9 spent on women in the NHS £1 is spent on men. This is quite disgusting especially when you consider men pay more in tax, it also means more is being spent on research and treatment of breast cancer than say for example prostate cancer.

When a woman divorces a man in some cases she may be entitled to half of his money, why? because when she stayed at home looking after the home and children she wasn’t able to earn money so the wealth he has earned is half hers. However, it also means that while she was at home he was working to earn money to pay all the bills including her share of them and she could have gone back to work and used childcare, so based on that he shouldn’t owe her nothing as he covered her share of the rent, mortgage and other bills as well as his own.

The family courts are a disgrace when it comes to allowing men to have access to their children. Legal aid has been cut, but all a woman needs to do it say her partner has been abusive or is a sex offender (doesn’t matter if this is true or if there is any evidence to back this up) and she is granted legal aid in order to stop him seeing his children.

Education is abysmal, not only have grades been inflated, so much so that an B grade in A Level maths would have been an E in the early 1990s, but we are at a time where more women are accessing higher education and University AND where graduate unemployment is at a record high, it seems education is becoming worthless and geared towards the female brain rather than that of the male. Take for example that poor white boys are statistically underperforming, with very few male role models perhaps at home and certainly within the classroom as there are very few male teachers, and also a curriculum and teaching practice which does little to engage with boys learning. Roughly 50-55% of all pupils achieve 5 GCSE’S at grade C or above, but that means 40-45% percent haven’t and a large proportion are male which after 12 years of education is shocking.

£48 billion pounds are spent every year because of family breakdowns, most of this money goes towards women in the form of benefits, but it doesn’t help men be able to access or house their children for example the bedroom tax won’t allow a man to have spare bedroom for his daughter to visit, but the girl’s mother will get housing benefit allowance for a bedroom for that child.

Men make up most of the homeless population around 75-77% and one in 10 of these are veterans. So a man fights for his country only to return to no home…

We have a judicial system which is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but lately this doesn’t seem to be the case. In fact men who are accused of rape are named and their photos shown in the media before a court case.

There seems to be annoyance because women have had children (and taken maternity leave and pay) are less likely to be offered a promotion. They get money for not being at work, a job waiting for them when they return and it is expected that they treated equally, despite not actually being at work, regarding promotion. Never mind the men are fathers who have juggled work and parenting, even though they might have to pick up children or were up half the night their child is unwell. Women are more likely to leave work early to pick up kids as well as first choice when it comes to holidays especially around christmas and the summer time. Never mind the single people who want time off or the men who have family commitments. When will this madness stop?

Men being expected to pay for dinner, drinks, engagement rings ect despite salary inequality being a myth. You wanted equality ladies so please pay your own way.

Abortions cost the taxpayer £500 plus a time, 1 in 3 women will have one during her lifetime, 40% will have 2 or more and the NHS is spending more than £1 Million pounds a week on repeat abortions. Again what a large amount of money, which could be much better spent, can women not contribute towards their own contraception? We also have increasing STI and STD rates which shows condoms are not being used, perhaps using these would reduce the cost on the NHS for abortions and treating infections.

Domestic abuse towards men is hardly ever mentioned, yet it does happen and many men are ashamed to speak out as they will be seen are not real men. I believe it is a lot more widespread than currently thought. This includes violence, name calling, abuse, controlling behaviour, threats and stealing by a wife or girlfriend. In fact 40%+ of domestic abuse victims are men, yet there is little support or even shelters..

Women love looking at handsome muscular men (Fifty shades?)as soon as men look at an attractive woman it is seen as objectifying and sexist. We can’t have it both ways.

The stereotypes within the media are less than flattering and not at all realistic. They set out to make men seem stupid, child like and the butt of jokes.

I feel like men are being made to apologise for their achievements, it is almost as if they are being whitewashed. Men have experimented, invented, engineered, developed, studied and contributed to most of our knowledge, science, engineering, medical skills and brilliance. They build houses, roads, schools, bridges, hospitals, they invented cars, computers, telescopes, microscopes, radios, cookers, washing machines,TVS, the internet, phones, trains, planes in fact most of what we use and know today.

The suicide rate is highest in men and in particular young men.

When women are on hormonal contraception and they urinate, female hormones enter the water system and aren't treated or removed so this means it is going into drinking water.

Men do most of the dangerous, hard and dirty jobs.

Edit: it's £1 to £8 NHS spending. My apologies,
