In a society where all of self worth is based on entitlement, this sort of behavior is unavoidable. I'm glad that the proper person got punished, and I am not victimizing her specifically (I think we are all victims), but what she did is a product of the entitlements drilled into her head by decades of media and commercial interests. The fact that she "deserves" a perfect life and a wedding and that she can do anything she wants to get them.

Those sorts of entitlements end up becoming the justification for a great many types of evil, from my experience.

Also, to take a more serious note of this thread...

Don't you find it ironic how some women are practically forcing you to marry her over here (since quite some time...coughshotgunweddingscough) and that in India, if you don't marry someone you 'led on to believe' you were going to marry, that you go to jail?

Basically it's 2 different systems for getting someone to marry you (yes I know about India and their diff culture, but that's irrelevant to the point), fortunately, the laws aren't backing them up over here (yet), so we can avoid such traps if the judge is fair.

Why thank goodness? What did you expect to happen? It seems like some people in this subreddit misunderstand the name of the reddit. Circumstances are different everywhere and the only time mensrights should be concerned are when men's rights are violated but here it was just justice served.

Sometimes I think this place is just rallying against women in general because any crime a woman commits against a man ends up here rather than just the ones where men are treated unequally.
