Crosspost "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" from /r/MuslimMarriage:

So I can't speak for everyone, but I think its normal to crave company and companionship. Especially since we can't date or do anything, we literally have to wait until we can get married to have any sort of touch with the opp gender. Lol its sad that I'm 22 and never held hands with a guy *cries alone*. Also, its kind of a hard concept to explain to my non-Muslim friends, because things they wouldn't think twice about, I have to hold myself back from so the people that get it are mainly my Muslim girlfriends. Personally, I have older female cousins and I know so many women who are not finding a spouse and have come to points in their lives where they accepted it. Them not finding suitable spouses can be due to a variety of reasons not in their control and they keep on praying and making dua, but I guess Allah has different plans for everyone. The point is I'm kind of tired of this waiting alone narrative we have. It doesn't help that sometimes our families don't get that we'd rather marry people of our choosing than just get married for the sake of getting married and its not like girls are choosing to be single and alone, its just that they haven't found anyone yet. What makes me feel better is having friends, specifically female friends, who are going through the same kind of struggle and I think our convos/ discussions are at a lot healthier and more productive now, because instead of talking about guys, or lack of, we talk about plans we want to have regardless. Plus, guys are mad confusing ya'll lol.

Anyways, so even though this post started off kind of depressing, I'm just wondering if any other gals have these kinds of thoughts or have convos about what they want to do with their girlfriends, married or unmarried. If so, what plans do you ladies have? Also, just want to say, it would be awesome to create an all-single-Muslim-female house where we can create plans/ activities to do together like date nights with just a bunch of gals, movie nights, girls trips, at dinner we can talk about how our days went, and just create a supporting/ loving environment for each other. That would be so dope. Would any other ladies be down?
