Ramadan Mubarak everyone!

This blessed month should be a time solely focused on worshipping and thanking Allah and reminding us of our purpose on this earth. Everything we do in this life, at the end of the day nothing else will save us from salvation except imaan and good deeds.

So make sure you spend plenty of time praying, fasting, reading the Qur'an and I encourage everyone to read the Qur'an with translation too so you can understand the message and derive some benefit from it in your lives.

Also, use this time to take a healthy little break from the world. I mean most of us are already quarantined so that coupled with Ramadan makes it a lot easier to take your mind away from worldly matters, particularly marriage and women.

The Messenger of Allah, (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "whoever is unable to get married should fast as it is a means of suppressing sexual desire." [Bukhari 1806]

So in sha Allah this is something we can practice this coming Ramadan.

But don't take your mind away from the dunya completely. I would also use this time to reflect where you are heading towards in your life and what you would like to change after Ramadan. Maybe you're unhappy with your job, maybe you're out of shape, maybe you're in a miserable relationship that just isn't going to work.

Whatever it is, dedicate a little me time this month and start planning whatever changes you want to make to improve your quality of life because the last thing you want to do is make your life hell in the dunya, because if you make your life hell in the dunya, then there's a pretty good chance you will make your life hell in the hereafter, especially if you're already miserable and unhappy with the direction you're heading.

So use this time for some self love and some self reflection too in sha Allah!
