The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Three people will not enter paradise, and Allah will not look to them on the Day of Judgement: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the woman who imitates men and the ad-Dayooth.”

Ad-Dayooth is the man who allows women for whom he holds the responsibility to advise such as his mother, wife, daughter and sister to engage in illicit sexual relations (i.e. cuckold), or he does not have protective jealousy (gheera) over them and allows them to display their beauty towards strange men, by not wearing the hijab, wearing attractive clothing, wearing makeup and perfume and other cosmetic enhancements to attract the attention of men.

Many Muslim men nowadays feel ashamed to talk about the hijab with their wives or encourage their daughters to wear it, not knowing that it is actually their responsibility to advise them to wear it because the man will be answerable to Allah and may not enter paradise because of being a Dayooth.

This hadith just goes to show that the man cannot be a beta male who is subservient in the marriage because he will even be held accountable for the sins of his wife in not covering up and wearing the proper Islamic dress. So a man must be the alpha and lead the marriage. Something which many Muslim men are afraid to do.
