My sister told me when i was younger: All women want attention.

Attention is the coin in the realm of women. They will get upset if they don't get any and complain if they do.

Not all women are attention seeking though but they will want attention from someone and it should be you the husband, so you can give her attention and fulfil her emotional needs as well as physical.

If you want to vet a women, get an honest women to vet her, she will be able to find out the true intentions. This should be part of your vetting process. Women know women.
