Often divorces are portrayed as the ever nagging, never satisfied woman who then ”robs” the man of his money (ignoring that nowadays, it’s almost always a two income family).

But according to american statistics regarding the main causes for divorce, 55% of people divorcing quote infidelity and 25% of people quote domestic violence or abuse. There are other reasons as well, and most people divorcing claim that better communication could have prevented the divorce, but regardless what one thinks, isn’t abuse and infidelity a valid reason for divorce?

Even from a religious perspective: Catholicism is plain blank against divorce, but orthodoxy cites infidelity as a reason where divorce can be granted.
