I was reading through the looks scale thread, and saw a few mentions from guys (u/exit_sandman comes to mind, sorry to call you out buddy) that had the caveat "little or no makeup" for good looking girls ... And I realized that I don't think guys realize exactly how much time (and money) we sink into beauty stuff that they don't realize. A girl may well not wear a lot of makeup, but that doesn't mean she isn't high maintenance, in terms of her looks

(And, in the spirit of full transparency, I might be off base - because of my career, I'm surrounded by women who do a lot of work on their appearance. So my worldview might be off, and everyone on here may tell me I'm insane)

So, ladies, do you have any grooming/beauty habits that people probably don't realize?

For me, I tint my lashes. Gray eyes surrounded by natural blonde lashes are just scary ... I tint my lashes black so I can go out in public with no makeup and not scare small children. I also get IPL twice a year (I have had subtle Botox, but prefer IPL). And my skin care routine is insane - I use 5 products daily, and have an additional two products I rotate out weekly

Other examples that don't apply to me: eyelash extensions, microblading, eyebrow tinting, peels and/or microdermabrasion, waxing areas that aren't obvious (knuckles, tops of the feet, lower back), laser hair removal, taking biotin (for hair/nail growth), tattooed makeup (I'm thinking a lip tint, not eyeliner), etc
