There seems to be some confusion about the pareto principle.

A lot of men here seem to think that women will only find the top 20% of men attractive and that if suddenly all men were zapped to become attractive, women would sort this new group into a new 20/80 and still only go for the top 20%.

The pareto principle states that only 20% of men are born attractive. It has nothing to do with how women judge the men. Women will seek out the most attractive men, which currently is only the top 20%.

If we suddenly had a society full of beautiful people, women's lizard brain would see a beautiful man and think, "that man is beautiful". They aren't going to think "he's not as beautiful as the top 20% of men, therefore he is invisible to me".

I just don't see any way that a woman could sort these men into a new 20/80 based on looks.
