This depends more on how hot they guy is more than anything. For this to work the guys has to be above avg or really hot.

There’s too many variables to factor in here to come to any solid conclusion because it will greatly depend on what guys us other guys know as well to gage this off of.

I had a friend who was constantly scraping the bottom of the barrel, and I never saw him with a 8+

As sad as it sounds, overall people think what they can't have is worth more so I kind of agree with OP.

I would speculate that the men who 'lower their standards' end up diluting the attention they spread around. The side effect is that some of these "stunners" who are overwhelmed with cheap attention, find themselves not being clung on to as strongly. Seeing as there are far more insecure people than secure people, giving less attention may result in a bias towards someone scatter shooting.

Personally I think that thinking in terms of yield and numbers commodifies the human experience however. Not all interactions are fungible, especially when it comes to sexual experiences. Often the secret ingredient that seperates good sex from great sex is love and love requires focused attention. I guess it depends on preference by that point and what people are looking for.

Looks is what gets you access to the stunners if we're talking genuine desire. The only thing I've seen that enables men to shoot above their looksmatch and still have the woman be genuinely attracted to them is clout. There's the camp (my camp) that more focuses on some threshold (mine is just normal weight, cute, and (increasingly) not stupid). It's more statistically minded.

This is odd to me, because I want to fuck people I find something fuckable about, and don't want to fuck people who I don't find anything fuckable about. There are 200 pound women that's true for, and others it's not true for. I would never go "Oop, she's over on the scale, gotta reject her."

I think this strategy will do exactly what you say. As you “lower your standards” and increase your numbers… you will have more experiences with more women and feel increasingly attractive. You will believe that more and more women are “stunners”.

In other words, your scale of 8 to 10 will be recomputed, and include women who are 5 to 7 in other people’s eyes.

Maybe this increased perception of being more attractive to more women will ignite more confidence and bring objective 8+, but I doubt it. 8+ women filter very quickly for physical attraction and won’t give the average guy a chance.

Regardless, it’s a fine strategy. And I’d argue it’s strategy more women should adopt. Grading more people on a curve.

The reason is works is not about lowering the standards.. it’s about consistency and confidence.

When you are regularly getting women, of all levels, you walk with a tremendous level of confidence and as a result you likely approach more beautiful women than a guy who just approaches those women. Those beautiful girls can feel that confidence as well.

If youguys are in your player phase of life..really just go and approach all with as much confidence as you have and you will do much better than the guys overthinking it.

Of course i have my type and other people might not find the type of woman i like to date or hook up with as attractive as i do, but i don't really care, I'll go for whom i enjoy being with. That said, i don't think your op really mentioned why you think someone who relaxes their standards actually succeeds more. So why do you think that?

I agree, you getting laid often makes you more able to get laid more often, since you get better at dating and better and less needy, since you're already getting laid so when you get a date with a hottie you're better at it.

The problem is you require a huge amount of effort, in my case at least, since I'm ok hot, not hot hot*, I'm talking about +4 hours a day dedicated to this and having multiple dates a day is exhausting and gets you burned out pretty fast.

Also since I found my gf I'm much happier and I don't miss casual hook ups at all, and that's something I never thought it was going to happen.

*I've got a 1,85 m tall, crossfit lover and handsome friend who needed no effort to get more dates with hotter women, he also got a gf after a while and is happier this way (or so he says)

Consider me an oddball, but I just don’t get the fascination with fucking 10s (or 8+s in this case). Probably because my entire identity as a person isn’t wrapped up in my sexuality like a lot of (unhappy) folks on this sub.

The only thing that fucking a hot girl really gets you, on its own, is validation. Do you know what it won’t get you, necessarily? Good sex, happiness, a relationship, etc…you know, the stuff you actually want if you’re not insecure and have your head on straight.
