If there's a quote that's used by all the various forms of Pill and Feminist is Sheryl Sandberg's:

“When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier.”

I know the quote very well, and I think it's eloquent, well-spoken, well written, and reflective of the culture for the past few decades.

But then I was thinking: what's good for the goose is good for the gander., right? So we guys should be thinking along the same lines:

“When looking for a life partner, the advice to men is date all of them: the bad girls, the cool girls, the commitment-phobic girls, the crazy girls, the promiscuous girls, the slut girls, the cheerleaders, the sorority girls. BUT DO NOT MARRY THEM. The things that make these girls sexy do not make them good wives. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks men should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in life. If these women exist great, if they don't continue to have fun with the ones who want to have fun!"

What does PPD think?
