It's complicated. My best friend is a woman. But aside from her, I don't get along well. Believe me, I LOVED women. However, it got a little weird once I learned they don't like me back. When I was younger, I held a rather idealistic view of women and generally trusted that as long as I was a good person, (I know I don't get to judge my own personality) a nice girl would come along and recognize it. Now would be a good time to explain that I was homeschooled since the fourth grade and have Asperger's. I'm not ugly. I'm certain of that. However, I'm socially inept. Most of my life has been colored by the sound of people mocking me, especially women. At no point in my life have I received any empathy from a woman I wasn't related to by blood. I always extend the olive branch and inevitably, I get burned. And I'm not just talking about being rejected. I handle that pretty well. I'm talking about everything. Even just telling someone about my social situation elicits a small amount of surprise and disgust. Every little thing gets twisted around to be indicative of some flaw in my character. Most of the men in my life don't understand me, but still try to help just on principle. I want to love women, but they hated me from the start. And that makes me hate them back.

I think women are in general much like men. They might be less aggressive and differ significantly in their approach to sexuality, but they're largely similar in mindset otherwise.

One of my enduring friends is a woman that I bonded with over our shared interest in philosophy. My girlfriend stood out to me over a number of other beautiful women in large part because of her intellect.

Overall I'd say I like women, and find the bitterness directed towards the opposite sex here (from both men and women) displeasing; it makes me sad to see someone carry that kind of burden.

The ones at the extreme ends of the attractiveness spectrum tend to be most likeable on a social level ymmv my guess is the most attractive get bored of being valued for their looks and develop other means for engagement for their own sanity (and also tend to have a touch of cynicism that infuses enjoyable banter), while the least attractive ones know that in a society that heavily judges women based on looks they have no choice but to develop other means for engagement (well the ones who participate in society at all, since undoubtedly many decide it's not worth the trouble and lock themselves away)

I do wonder though when it comes to serious relationships, what do women truly offer me aside from sex? It seems both sides are jaded especially at my age (mid 30s) so it makes things more difficult. A problem I have Is it seems that many women seem to want the man to do all the heavy lifting to earn their attraction and company. I try to show basic respect to any human out there and I generally feel quite positive towards other people and always start with a certain amount of positive attitude, however, there is a thing that I and most of the young men I know have noticed when it comes to women who are gen Z and the youngest from millenial women:

a lot of them are getting more and more hostile towards any guys that are not on the top of the food chain when it comes to what popular culture portrays that a man should look like and be. Some might say that this thing can also be seen with men and it is true but its just not to the same extent. It doesnt matter if the guys actually chases them, this happens in all varieties of social situations.

I have seen with my own eyes quite a few times when nerdy guys and jocks do something together, have common interests and share thoughts on different subjects as if they are completely equal while, if you interact with a woman and are not a cool jock, you are just treated as if you are some sort of a subhuman. All your words are literally being disregarded as if they were never spoken, your experiences are being denied. Its like your whole existence is being denied.

Id say that you observation about the resentment being shown is correct - there is resentment and I claim that it is absolutely normal when more and more men are literally getting dehumanized and are feeling like aliens. Spending time on subreddits like Foreveralone really shows this.

Many women are awful, many are decent. A lot of the resentment towards women as a collective is often a personal reflection of the individual themselves- often a poor relationship with their female family members.

Intelligent women have existed throughout all cultures, religions and ethnic groups. Yes there are women into dumb petty stuff, but the same can be said about men. Intelligent women avoid dumb, negative minded men- hence why it can seems as though all woman are dumb to someone. Dumb women are often happy to talk to any man.

I love women, but I think the feminist discourse that they've been able to get away with over the last decade or so has been too much. I think I'm ahead of the curve when I say that online feminism is a bubble that's gonna burst, as people slowly get around to seeing that patriarchy isn't the sole cause of all problems within gender relations, and some of the ownership of this must fall on women to fix within themselves before attacking men. I think that I'm probably a decade early to that party, but it'll slowly take hold once women realize how much blame they are avoiding.

That's a good question. I'd have to say, if you are going to insist on being general, then on average, no. All through my 20's I found most women to be standoffish and hostile and to assume the worst at every opportunity. At the same time I found my older mostly married female colleagues/neighbours to be warm, caring and affectionate and I have had some female 'best friends' at various stages of my life.

I'm nearly 40 and 4 years into a so far happy marriage and I by no means hate women. While I don't disagree that men are ass-holes, both to women and to each-other, I genuinely think that women are worse.

About the same way I feel about men. I can work with women, have a laugh with women, talk to women. I don't hate women. But, the same way I have no other desires or intentions with men, now I have no desires or intentions with women. I can see a woman as being "objectively attractive" but I have no desire to try and sleep with her, or talk to her for the purpose of trying to start a relationship, or get a date, or have sex. It's funny, because once in a rare while I will even clique with a woman based on intellect, or humour, or a common belief or interest but I never act on it. Occasionally I get a puzzled look from a woman who might think a man would normally start to show some sort of interest after such an interaction. I did. I showed interest in her humour, or intellect, or political opinion, but that's it. These situations no longer result in those motivational groin tingles. Divorce, feminism, women's behaviour today, women's fickle, flighty and entitled nature... and what I think are laughable expectations twice removed from reality - that connection between heart, brain and groin has been severed in me, likely for life.

What does "meaningful level" even mean? That our interactions are mutually beneficial? I have a mutually beneficial co-parenting relationship with my ex. Is it meaningful? Not in the way OP is describing it. Not in the way blue pill people speak of it. I don't feel being vulnerable to a woman in any way shape or form is good for me, in any way shape or form. It just means I am more pliable and more likely to be used and utilised.

This thing - "meaningful relationship, deep emotional connection" - it might be good for a woman, but it's not good for a man.

I really think people having no idea what my next move will be is best. I think people should see me as strong and determined and capable, and a damned worthy adversary if they start getting any ideas. I used to be a more open and emotional person, but now I just prefer to keep shit to myself and be alone.

I got divorced. It smashed me into a lot of pieces. I put this person back together with the pieces I could find, but what I reassembled doesn't desire women anymore. That part of me is gone.

The fact that men continue to chase women is proof enough that men want women in their lives.

It's not dislike, it's distrust. You cannot trust what a woman says only what a woman does. And if you judge women from their actions the reality is pretty grim.

You can think everyone is awesome unless proven otherwise, or you can think everyone is bad unless proven otherwise. When it comes to women I always choose the second one. This doesn't mean you have to be rude or anything, it's just a reminder of being on the lookout for a set of specific signs that can give her intentions/personality/backstory away, because her words will NEVER tell you the truth.

And this is why, although they got some things right, I don't believe in the TRP. What men should do is not to put on some fake personality, it is to abandon chivalry, blue pill concepts, giving costant attention, blind acceptance of women actions or whatever is in their best short-term interest, which too often opposes ours. Keep yourself the same you, just kill that part.

I like women, I think they can be really fun and smart. But often when thinking about them in general I get sad, and when I'm outside I would rather avoid them. Men could ask the same of women. There seems to be a bit of resentment for men in the media, education, among feminists, in government...men get blamed for just about anything that makes women unhappy.

Women don't acknowledge the problems they cause men but men are practically expected to apologise for existing. If a guy just stands there and makes a woman uncomfortable it's on him to do something for her sake, not on her to deal with her neuroticism. A father risks getting the cops called on him for sitting on a bench, watching his daughter play without mom around. A female teacher who takes advantage of a male student is somehow not a rapist. All a woman has to do to fuck up a man's life is to lie and say he raped her.

Women would also have you believe the privilege they have in the SMP is a curse, yet they'd never give it up even when it harms relationships between men and women. There's almost no self awareness among women about their poor behavior at all. And when a man is a victim of said poor behavior, they find a way to blame him because he should have known better.

Are men angels? Absolutely not. Men even tell women to avoid the assholes. We know there are shitty men about. But women cannot resist fucking them. The nice guys, the men who do respect women and want to do the right thing are often accused of secretly being evil when they confess their feelings because women would rather not deal with looking or feeling bad, so they project their anger onto men and claim their best friend spent years just trying to get into her pants, when he was actually in love with her. Only women could shift the blame so hard they make it seem like he's the shitty one, rather than acknowledge they benefited from probably leading him on or that they feel insulted that he would desire her.

This frustration men feel when the worst guys have better love lives than your average Joe is what you're seeing. They've tried to make sense of the rising single motherhood, the desperate women looking to settle down in their 30s who now want those nice guys they rejected before, and of women's attraction to Dark Triad traits and come to a conclusion that doesn't flatter women at all:

Women are fucked up, flawed and make mistakes.

But they are bailed out repeatedly by a society that doesn't want to see them as they are. Women want the benefit of chivalry and of men adhering to their gender roles without appealing to anything men desire because it makes them feel insecure. They project this insecurity on men (and call it sexist) because rather than take responsibility for their issues, they'd rather do what they've always done - snap their fingers and tell men to clean up their messes for them. They're so entitled they feel perfectly justified in asking an entire gender, nay, an entire society to change for their benefit!

Red Pilled men (who are usually red pilled due to the treatment they received from women) call women out on their bullshit, which women are not used to. They've been so coddled they consider being told to take responsibility for their shit behavior, sexism.

Call it sexism. Call it resentment. But consider that there's no dick pass men can rely on, nor did Norah Vincent come out of her experience as a man feeling like her life was worse as a woman.

I’m not asking if you’re sexually attracted to women, I’m asking if you like women on a personal or romantic level in a meaningful way. I have female family members, female friends and female co-workers/bosses who's contributed to my life in a positive way.

There are a few women who i can have intellectual discussion with and have discussion in a meaningful way.

I think the issue here is NAWALT - and the hostility and fear that male shows on this sub is due to female pushing the female agenda and trying to score points in discussion at the expense of men. In real life, there are a lot of females around my circle that would find objections and oppose to things and ideas that was raise by BP and the women here in this sub.

Yeah, I like 'em. Just like men, many individuals are trash, but some individuals are great and fun and loving people. It take some work and/or luck to find those good people, but they're out there.

Some have hurt me, but some have been good to me, so I can't distrust the group as a whole. My experiences in relationships has been sorta split down the middle between good and bad. But the subject matter here seems to attract more guys whose experiences have been mostly or completely negative; I don't think there're many men here whose experiences with women have been mostly or completely positive.

Neutral really. I consider lesbians great partners and trans quite the compationate people. But I have better uses for my resources than to invest in heterosexual women if sex is not an option.

Without sex, heterosexual women are still effective as resources investment, if you invest your resources into them, they may return the favor, but they don't return the same or as assuredly as if they were a man, a lesbian or a trans. And the gap is pretty big. I will not say that women don't give interesting conversations or are not wiling to hear (they are very much in the latter). But actual help? no, not really.

If you invest X amount of time, money and energy in a man, he will be willing to pay you for each second, dollar and joule back. Usually in ways you find valuable. Like, A drinking friend of mine (lesbian) would help me get help in getting a job, because he has good contacts. But for some reason, looks like women are not wiling to do the same to this same extent. They seem to think their mere presence or hearing has some absurd high value. Which I find quite odd.

In some cases, yes. in other no.

Disregarding my personal preferences, like where I get my entertainment, women are very interesting if you are talking about people. You can talk about people all day long with them, colleagues, friends, you say it. And subjects related to people, like politics, or romance. But if you want to talk about the reality of things without the parts related to people they are very poor conversational partners, and they will always push to talk about people... so much so it tends to be a bother.

It leads to situations in which I wanted to talk about the economic system or a legislation, and she wanted to talk about the president or the group of people she hatec. Many times in my youth, we would talk past one another, because I would prefer to talk about the 'things', 'reason' and 'reality' as the focus of a conversation, while all she could understand was the people and their interactions. leading to unnecessary conflicts.

But it has to do with preferences, like people used to say. "Women like people, men like things". I can approximately predict what they think and do but I usually have to wear this mask which has nothing to do with myself as a person. Modern women tend to be very uncompromising so I usually copy their views in order to not end up in an needless conflict. So much so most people consider me both a leftist and a religious guy (when I am nothing of the sorts). But I find hard to deal with woman as any more than a professional give and take. They are to get sex if heterosexual or to talk about people if homosexual or trans. Not much more. I cannot engage with them to the same level I would a man.

Before I let my life fall apart, yes. I quite enjoyed friendships with women. They feel a lot more real than male friendships which usually start and end at specific interests: drinking buddies, sports buddies, gaming buddies, etcetera. Unfortunately most of my interests were male-dominated so I rarely got to meet women.

Fucking love women. There's something in the relationship with them - including friendship - that I can't get with men. There's an intensity and intimacy there that's a lot of fun. Friendships with them go deeper, and I feel like they take me places (emotionally) men can't.

Honestly, in my experience most of the traditional stereotypes about women are often totally not true. Like at a former job I had, it seemed like the guys gossiped way more than the women there, contrary to the common stereotype. But when guys gossip they usually don't call it gossiping for some reason.

Women are generally incurious. They care little about science, current affairs, the stock market, technology, philosophy, history etc. I know many more guys interested in this stuff than women.
Women are hypocritical sexists. Most women refuse to hold themselves to traditional standards of femininity while ruthlessly punishing men who eschew traditional standards of masculinity. They also don’t give a shit that men don’t have any reproductive rights and feel quite comfortable stealing a man’s income for 18 years to support a choice they made.
Women are hopelessly gullible. If you honestly believe you get paid less in 2020 because of the shape of your genitals rather than your skills, experience and willingness to grind, you’re a moronic sheep.

Women can’t handle equality. Women complain all the time that we don’t treat them as equals, but the second we do (by playfully busting their balls), we’re straight into HR to be fired. 3 of my best friends are women.

I can trust them with anything but the fundamental thing with them is that they are my friend only because I am a resourceful person, no for some "sense of humour" or anything personality based.

Their motivation is money/resources/help/connections but obviously they are not very obvious about it.

But the time I restrict their access to those, they start showing resentment.

If I am willing to overlook this, women are pleasant to be around.

But I can't help myself thinking, what if I had none of these? Then i am useless for them and they'll not be my friend.

Why I think this way? Because being their friend they've always told me most men are waste of time, and how she dodged a man at a restaurant who had nothing to offer her, was not smart etc.... obviously they said all this to raise their own value so that I feel I am lucky enough to have them as friend but it gives away why the want to be my friend.

I took a moment and really thought of the women who I know that were smart, engaging on an intellectual level, and also physically attractive. I can think of three or four that fit this bill.

Each of them approached me with a goal in mind, barely concealed beneath a slim veneer of polite interest. Hello, How are you, how about the weather type engagements before they slide home to their actual reason for interacting with me. Time, money, favors, momentary shelter from a perceived threat... I have never had an interaction with an intelligent female that was simply "shooting the breeze" or "just checking on you, it's been a while since we said hi"

Some had the short goal in mind "oh so I have this issue can you help me?" some have a longer goal "so I'm having a party in two weeks can you come? you don't have to bring a gift" some just needed to get out of the storm "this guy was walking behind me, do you mind if I duck in here for a second?" but each time was a targeted experience with a preset start and finish.

By contrast, in times when I had nothing to offer them, I would go months and maybe years with basic interaction with said women... a wave hi, a nod, a "like" on a post somewhere. Just the bare minimum to keep us in the same orbit in case I'm needed.

Have I ever had a woman walk up to me and say "hey you look down you ok?" or "I'm walking to the store, you want anything?" - never. Never an open-ended expression of humanity and caring that one person should have for another.

Men? sure... all the time. Conversations just for the sake of conversation, enriching and rewarding, and often with a few takeaways that could lead to personal or professional growth.

What about women of average intelligence, you ask? Much of the same but with a more fumbling approach, often making the faux pas error of telling me about other men in their lives, dates they had or complaining about the current issue du jour of social media "did you hear so and so died? so sad they were so young" and they never quite get around to requesting assistance or favor because they spent too much time on small talk.

Never really walked away from a conversation with a woman saying "what a great talk that was."

Woman are alright, its just the American ones I cant really stand. Back when I worked at a Chinese seafood restaurant a few years back, all of the younger Chinese woman were slim, and put effort into their appearance. I remember getting into a conversation with one, who told me being fat in Chinese culture while your married to your husband is a huge deal, and its expected and accepted if a man cheats under those circumstances. While men are assumed and expected to be the breadwinners, what constitutes as a feasible salary could be as simple as being a waiter at a restaurant while the woman cooks and cleans. Morals of woman I find in other countries are reasonable and equal and I'm not even talking about a traditional minded relationship theres just more respect and kindness as well as appreciation.
Most foreign woman seem to appreciate men more, I put effort into my appearance have a low body fat and have a good skin care routine but when I'm at my predominately white college, unless I'm part of the top percentage of men with model good looks, or the guys in frats with popularity I might as well be less than dirt and I'm just another average bloke in the mix. American woman are just unreasonable.

This seems like a slightly unfair question, because whether I get along with a woman "intellectually" depends 100% on the individual person. There's no possible way to lump all women together in this respect.

In any context where we're talking about women as an entire group, the conversation is going to veer toward sex, because sexual attraction is the only thing I feel toward women universally based on gender alone. Literally any other quality or property that can be evaluated, like whether or not I "like" certain things about them as a person, can only be determined on an individual basis.

Over the years I have come to like women less and less as feminism grows stronger each generation. I like women's empowerment but it always leads to emasculating men.

I absolutely loathe women who abuse men by expecting us to follow some chivalrous code around them while also maintaining their feminist independence. The two contrast each other and make no sense. You can't expect men to take care of you AND be independent from us at the same time.

I also loathe how women expect to sit back and pick and choose their suitors with a zero harrasment policy in effect. Men have been #metoo'd into the ground and you still expect us to pursue you????? Seriously?

If you want us to respect your boundaries then we must move towards women pursuing the men they want and maintaining a true zero contact policy with all others. That means you do the work. Not those few men you selected.

That said I am in fact married and I do love my wife. However she wasn't born here in America so she isn't corrupted by modern day feminism. She lets me be the boss in the family. I respect her greatly for it. She allows me to be a man which a lot of men aren't allowed.

I can like any given woman like I can like any given man. Being a man, on average I relate much more to men but I don't think women are all stupid or anything. However, women as a group are not sexually attracted to me or my personality type. That leads sometimes to bitterness naturally. So much of the negative things about women people say here are said from a place of bitterness that you can't tell someone who is angry from a genuine misogynist. I think that human beings, in general, can be a huge pain in the ass.

I would say my dislikes mostly fall under the their manipulative nature and their constant desire for validation.

For example, I've stated on numerous occasions to women that I think they over-rely and overdose themselves with make-up and it can, at times, go the opposite direction. Rather defensively, they often come back and say it for themselves, and just for their own enjoyment.

I don't think that's it. I think they care, a lot, about how they are perceived and judged by others. Women overwhelm themselves with the obsession with beauty, and then proclaim it is society that does this to them. Perhaps there is a heavily social influence present, but it is still important to remember the media, be it "social media," or not, is still your decision to pay attention to.

If you generate your value based upon how socially popular you are and accepted my the masses, which most women do, then, to me, you are a less interesting person. Women seek too much social validation and approval, and this is why I say they tend to commit less crime. To their own benefit, this makes them nicer and more law abiding. I'm more of an indiviualist, and I think the vast majority of women tend not to be.

I've realized that through my past with women, I've had both good and bad times. However, I have a much easier time conversating with and befriending men, because they tend to have much more to talk about, and will often reveal their true opinion whether or not it is offensive to us, or to greater society.

However, I understand the question a bit differently. As a heterosexual man I am attracted to women sexually and physically as well as intellectualaly, socially etc. I think to deny that aspect of myself and how it affects my relationships (romantic or platonic) with women is unfair to the question.

I have always had lots of female friends, the majority of whom I have also either started out being attracted to or became attracted to as I got to know them. Sometimes the physical attraction preceeded, and was at times was the reason for, starting an association with them to begin with and sometimes it was after months or even years of knowing them that I developed an attraction to them.

Not every female friend I've had started out or ended up as a "crush", but I can say that every woman I have dated including my wife began as some element of "like."

So yeah, in general I like women, I like their company as i would any person, sometimes with an added element of spice. With any person, attracted to them or not, if they have views that are abhorrent to me, or tend to treat other people like crap or are just not someone id choose to spend my time and energy on. No I don't like that person, regardless of gender.

I think most men just want a woman around they can have fun with while they continue whatever endeavors they want to accomplish in life, business wise, creatively, charity projects, etc. Her status, financial situation, car, house/apartment, resources are of the least importance. I know it's true for me.

However honestly I truly cannot think of any woman in her 20s or 30s who has ever had anything meaningful/interesting enough to say, or an interesting enough life to hear about, that I would want to be around her if there wasn't a romantic element involved. And then any ages above that it's still very rare. I can't think of a woman who's ever opened my mind or changed my life. Maybe it's because I believe their lives are too carefree and easy to build any character. Honestly, in this department too few women than I'd like. Stereotype men that they care about soccer and beer all you want, but with women, this shit is worse by a magnitude, even for fairly educated women.

Generally, I like people. If you give em the benefit of the doubt, people can really surprise you.

Women are interesting... I find they're better conversationalists... I love to talk and share ideas. I love a good story over some beers... and women aren't bad at this at all. It's easily one of my favorite things about women. Just good at conversation.

That said, the vast majority of my friends are men. Mostly because the industry I'm in is a sausage fest (software development) and my interests are male dominated.

As a group overall though, women are great. Men are chill too.

Generally, I feel, if you're not getting along with a group of people, it's likely because you've made assumptions about the group, not that the group is bad or anything. With some exceptions of course (let's be real, if someone is super sexist or racist then they're the problem), but generally people are trying their best to be good.

Define "like".

There is the problem.

The things i like to discuss are shallow to real women and the things they want to discuss make absolute no sense to me.

I cannot discuss "double blind deconvolution math to improve machine vision" with them as they lack even the knowledge that such a thing exists. you get a "oh you are a technician, btw i have a problem with my smartphone" answer.

I am not interested in their social and emotional games at all. It is only silly and time consuming.

I like women but for that what they are and how they look. I like workout and sport with them as well as sex and cuddling.

But most of their discussion is better done with their female and gay friends.

I am at the bbq place with my male buddys meanwhile.

If i want to have one at my side i tell it to her. It is that easy.

But she has to do that women talk to women and i will not explain higher math to her.

I no longer have any animosity towards them, I don’t have any hatred towards them. I am indifferent towards them. If you were to tell me that a woman has stage 4 breast cancer and will be dead in 3 months it’d be no different than you telling me it is going to rain tomorrow. That’s the end stage of being totally and completely done with them.

In my experience the more attracted a woman is to you the less you can get out of them intellectually. All the women in my life that I could be intellectual with were stem or career driven women that I had no prior relationship with. If I ended up dating them all the intellect went out the window an it was just feels and fucking.

This is a dumb question.

Many women are awful, many are decent. A lot of the resentment towards women as a collective is often a personal reflection of the individual themselves- often a poor relationship with their female family members.

Intelligent women have existed throughout all cultures, religions and ethnic groups. Yes there are women into dumb petty stuff, but the same can be said about men. Intelligent women avoid dumb, negative minded men- hence why it can seems as though all woman are dumb to someone. Dumb women are often happy to talk to any man.

Generally, no. There's a few exceptions, but I've found that Patrice bit (women are not likeable they're lovable) pretty true. The women I get to know on any deeper level around my age are annoying, bitter, and misandrist (they hate men but also want to be like them, e.g. penis envy) -- they're just good at putting on a facade.
