I'll always find it funny when guys here claim women are "more hypergamous than ever" when there's proof that there's a growing trend of women out-earning men and plenty of women are screwing losers.

From my experience, the girls with the lowest standards (other than unattractive girls) are the ones with serious daddy issues. Then, the girls with slightly lower standards are girls with very relaxed fathers who just let her do what they want.

The girls with the highest standards are the ones with fathers that are both good and very involved. He sets a high standard for her but an even higher standard for her dates. For example, Good Girl wants to date Johnny, but dad says "No. Johnny's a highschool dropout that barely pays child support, while you're busting your butt off in college. Find a guy who can support himself and a family". Girls with low standards would have dated Johnny and become baby mama #2. Also, those fathers are more likely to tell a their daughter to marry a guy with a good job, like a Doctor.

On a sidenote, comparing having a "slut" wife to paying for a used car is stupid. New cars cost even more and there's some guys who cant afford any car (other than a lemon). Just saying.

Tl;dr - It's typically the dads' fault when a girl has a high standard for guys. Hence, men are to blame for hypergamy, not women.
