For the purpose of this exercise let’s define SMV as ability for said man to have casual sex; and RMV as ability for said man to provide a decent lifestyle for himself and others.

Let’s say you have your low SMV, high RMV backend engineer. He’s 31. He’s never had a girlfriend. He’s kissed a girl once or twice the times he was able to channel some fun and not crash and burn at a social gathering / party. He has seen an escort a handful of times. He’s depressed because he doesn’t feel validated as a man because he doesn’t know how to attract women sexually.

And you have your high SMV, low RMV gym bro who has had a hard time defining a career. Now he’s ubering and waiting tables until he can find the discipline to commit to a skill set that pays more money. He’s 31. He’s had a bunch of short term relationships and plenty of casual sex. But he realizes every girl he wants longterm chooses someone else. All of his friends are settling down and he actually wants to, but he’s depressed because no woman finds him worthy of taking his last name. So now he drinks a lot.

In my head I feel like these two guys could help one another in a Bromance comedy.

Bonus Question: In the grand scheme of things, which one has the better prospects for a not so fucked life?
