I think it’s just a label that is often misused or identified with by women for typical female sexuality. It’s like these women realize they don’t have the sexuality a gay man shows to other men and then feel need to identify as something else.

There’s nothing atypical about a woman who needs to feel some level of emotional connection to their sexual partners. I would even go as so far to claim that a woman who doesn’t need emotional connection is actually the atypical one. The BPD girls with low impulse control who fuck men like gay men do are the atypical ones, not the ones who need some level of emotional attachment.

Just because some women need emotional connection doesn't mean that they don't need the man to be physically attractive.

Women post this here all the time, that 80/20 is bullshit because of emotional connection, but if the guy isn't attractive, women don't even begin to form emotional connection in the first place.

people who think demisexuality/gray ace is just “normal female libido” should consider its more than simply an emotional connection before sex. which i agree all women want (for the most part). it’s a connection before attraction. any physical attraction.

it’s usually paired with ace too bc it comes with the connotation that you’re not really into sex as an idea. you don’t crave sex or seek it out. you go years without sex with no issues. when you do become sexually attracted to someone it’s usually out of left field. this isn’t typical female sexuality, in my experience.

From my observation, there seems to be a lot more women who say they’re demi sexual than men.

Which I think goes a long way in explaining the motivation behind those calling themselves "demisexual".

A woman who agonizes over exactly when and how much sex to offer a man to keep him interested without feeling "used" by him early in a relationship might argue that she is "demisexual" as a way of preemptively tempering the man's expectations.

Doesn't really work if you ask me though.

"Demisexual" is a made up term that applies to all women.

Women want a guy who makes them feel special. They don't just want to feel like a wet hole. They'll try the wet hole thing once or twice, not like it, and instead of realizing that they wasted time fucking a hot guy with no game and that they prefer a guy who knows the game, they think they're "demisexual" and need an emotional connection.

The whole point of game is making a woman feel emotionally connected to you (sometimes artificially) so that she'll fuck you. Making a woman feel stuff is how you get a woman into bed. Just being hot and taking your pants off only works like 1% of the time. You have to actually talk to women and flirt properly and make them feel stuff.

Demisexuals are not an orientation. A significant portion of humanity requires some kind of emotional connection for sexual attraction. Demisexuals are a way for straight people to attempt to be LGBT, or for LGBT to be lgbt snowflakes. That's all it is. It's as stupid as coming up with a specific word that imitates orientation language conventions to say that you prefer to have sex on top. It's almost as stupid as the label "sapiosexuality" which is literally just a humble brag.

Gotta love everyone saying 'That's just being a girl!' or that it doesn't even exist at all, when I personally know several men that are demisexual as well. More women, yes, but it's not exclusive. Outside of the internet, fucking on first sight isn't actually the normal majority.

Asexuals of both genders exist too. My gawd, I think that just blew up all of the pill-o-spheres.
