These are my observations, which may not be 100% accurate, but most people agree on:

  • Women are earning more in most professional fields, and they will probably earn even more soon.
  • Men earn more than in the highest-earning fields, such as Engineering and Programming. Women are unlikely to win here, but women are winning in almost every other professional areas.
  • Men also dominate blue-collar jobs such as mechanics, construction, security, etc. In summary, men have more options for jobs to pick from, as women refuse to do such jobs.
  • As women refuse to do most of those blue-collar jobs, which means that if most men are not motivated to work (e.g. by not getting a wife and family to strive for), they will just do the least just for themselves, these industries will have to pay men more to stay. I expect blue-collar jobs to pay more in the future, and work such as house repairs and construction will become more and more expensive.
  • Women are the highest spenders, while the richest people are mostly men.
  • Office and arts jobs are being automatized faster than blue-collar jobs. Even arts, which women love to study so much, are now being generated by AI and people cannot distinguish them from the real thing. No one predicted this.
  • Women expect men to earn more than them even if they do not need that income. They do not commit to men that earn less. Women naturally marry up: they would rather stay single than marry down, which makes sense as they want to rise children with a guy that has resources.
  • Many women will stay single as they cannot get the men they want, which are often the men most women want (taller, richer, etc.) which means there will be a scarcity of such men, and women have no problem staying single.
  • Inflation is making everyone's savings unreliable.

So my hypothesis is this: Women will pick good-earning jobs such as office jobs, nurses, etc. but they will become poorer as they are the highest spenders. This was only possible if they had spare cash from a guy, but if they stay single, guys will be less likely to give them money.

Meanwhile, I think men will be less likely to be poor (yet not rich) because men (1) are OK with spending less on clothing (2) they are happy without fancy decor and luxury living (3) they can get a blue-collar job with little training if they want, they have options to work (4) they spend less than women on products such as beauty products and traveling (5) and as men spend more in women than anything, with no woman that cash will be for their own pleasure. (6) they often can fix their own car and stuff with no issues.

If this is true, Will men marry older women as they get poorer and they richer? I do not know.
