Is freedom in general conducive to a fully efficient society? Probably not. We'd probably see the most efficiency in a society made up of slaves lead by a fascist dictator. But, I highly doubt most people here would like to live in a society like that.

Yep, this is the whole purpose of sexual selection. When it comes down to it, a more biologically fit population will have the health and strength to further improve society. Repression of natural female sexuality has caused us to stagnate genetically as a species, and now nature has to pick up the pieces. Of course the transition is going to be messy.

I think the moral and biological arguments for freedom more than make up for the current social instability.

It must be positive. Look at the west in terms of development. The more empowered women in developing countries become, the more those countries will benefit.

Women are now entirely free to pick the top most alpha man they desire. They will presumably breed a more stronger generation.

??? Most women don't want "the top most alpha man". They just want someone they love/who loves them/has a lot in common with them - to have a relationship with and maybe start a family with (if they want to have children).

In their twenties, women might want to play the field - just like men often do.

And most women will not get "the top most alpha man" (whatever the heyall that is). Sex is not "getting" anything except sex. A one-night stand is not "getting" anything, except for that one night.

In the end, NO ONE has complete sexual freedom. Complete freedom would be about zero STDs, zero risks, being able to have a solid family unit and sleep with whoever you want as well. It doesn't work like that.

This has created a huge backlash against women's sexual freedom which looks more and more prominent on the Internet.

It might seem huge, but really, it isn't. Most men in the west are pretty happy that they don't have to marry a girl to be able to have sex with a girl before they're ready to settle down.

It's not good for society as a whole.

Lots of men are left alone, which decreases their economic potential and increases crime, mental illness, suicide etc.
Women also generally report being less happy. One reason for this is that lots of them are left in the dust when chasing the top 20% of men. See "where have all the good men gone" articles.
It promotes single motherhood, which has very negative consequences for the wellbeing of children.
Lots of women go for men who damage society (thugs, deadbeats etc.) and thus encourage this behavior.

I think it's a positive. Sure, a free SMV is an SMV where most men struggle and some are left with literally nothing. But what's the alternative? It's not like men used to be more attractive in the past. It's just that society was that much more insistent on making people pair up, even if they didn't really like each other. Lots of unhappy marriages, children growing up caught between two adults without any love - is that a good thing?

Sex and companionship are needed for a good life, but in a free SMV it's something that just won't happen for a good number of men. Perhaps that number should ultimately be higher than it is now. Perhaps the idea of pairing up and marriage being necessary should GTFO.

If we assume that no further changes happen, then the current state of affairs is a negative on society - too much unhappiness breeding failure which in turn reduces the value produced by society, meaning, essentially, that we can't have nice things. But if the culture further evolves to normalize singlehood and promote the idea that relationships and marriages should be for attraction and love ONLY, then I believe we can increase net happiness by eliminating unhappy relationships and removing a huge part of what makes incel such a huge burden. I don't necessarily believe that this is how things will ultimately work out, though.

Sexual freedom for women could work if men were granted freedom over their own bodies. And we didn't have a thieving government stealing the production from my body and forcing me to work under threat of physical violence (lel isn't that like slavery?). But women make terrible short sighted and incredibly selfish decisions and men don't want children to suffer as much because of it so women have been freed while men are under increasing levels of tyranny to pay for women's mistakes.

Also since women are at their peak sexual power when they are also young and less experienced and lack wisdom they frequently make terrible decisions that damage their souls.

Sexual freedom is a positive. People should be allowed to do as they wish with their bodies. The problem is exactly as you put it: increasing freedom.

There is a fine line between freedom and impunity. Women should have every right to whore it up. At the same time, others (both men and women) should have every right to judge them negatively for it. This idea that it's of zero significance how much a woman sleeps around is the problem and that's the social programming that's underway. "No such thing as too many sexual partners" and such.

Out of wedlock births have skyrocketed. Welfare to women and children has grown. Lots of guys find themselves having to raise someone elses kids. Lots of men are locked out of the mating market while women pursue the top 10%. In that regards, no.

Also the men women are attracted to are not the ones society needs. Women are attracted to musicians, criminals and guys who live in the gym. Those are some of the people who do the most breeding. Society doesn't need more musicians, criminals and gymrats, it needs scientists and engineers, who are the ones most likely to be left behind by the current sexual revolution. The nerd sitting in a lab working on a cure for cancer is not the one getting laid, the guy who spends 20 hours a week at the gym or who sells drugs is.

Complicated question.

The pill (the birth control pill, not a red/blue one) has led to women joining the workforce and increasing our productivity, but it's also led to a declining birth rate in the west, and the breakdown of traditional gender roles that are not positive.

Free sexuality has led to us partnering with people we are more sexually comparable with, but has also led to a more libertine society where people focus more on simply satisfying our appetites rather than a grander commitment to our families and societies.

Overall... prob. a net negative, though that's quite hypocritical statement since I am very glad to have been born post-birth control.

Not only is it a good thing but if women weren't sexually selective in our evolutionary past, we wouldn't be humans. A lot of human-specific characteristics are a direct result of mate selection (done by females).

Patriarchy did its best to try to remove female sexual agency by imposing monogamy/marriage but thankfully, it is still relatively recent enough in our evolution history that it didn't had time to do too much damage (although it probably did some). Also thankfully, we're moving away (at least in the west) from this male-imposed system so we still can undo the damage it might have done.

Also, think about it: Straight males like attractive women. Now, WHO produces these women? Duh yeah: genetically above average men. They're not sired by the Steve Buscemis of this world. So unattractive guys, like hot women? Then encourage your fellow, hotter peer to mate with them and respectfully take yourself out of the reproductive pool. More eye-candy for you. Better genes for us. Win-win!

I've been here mulling at this question for a minute, and on balance, no, it isn't a good thing. This is from someone who benefits from the current state of things.

As others have pointed out, women use this freedom to seek out the Chadliest version of her Chad and will tend to see anything less as a consolation prize. He will not get her best. He will likely end up facing an unappeasable woman, and never really know why.

Take a look at what happens with women on most dating sites. Their ego is boosted through the moon, and they don't even have to respond.

What happens is that some men, that women choose over other men, are very well satisfied and happy with that aspect of their lives. Other men, that may have some very positive qualities, get overlooked. Eventually, the effort gets Sisyphean, and you end up with a miserable man. Expand this far enough, leave enough guys frustrated, high and dry, and you end up with a lit powder keg.

I tend to think it also makes women miserable. On one hand, they wonder why a man won't commit to them. On the other, they have to work harder than ever because they are now solely responsible for their provision. It leaves them ultimately unfulfilled. Even when they get a guy to be exclusive they start looking for his faults, and chase him off looking for something better.
