Men who do not get matches on these dating aaps, what do you think is your major malfunction??

I've gotten matches but the reality is when the apps are like 80% male and people fluffing themselves up and using pro photograohy and photoshop is the norm theres no reasonable way to make it work. I was lifting like four times a week, posting exotic vacation photos, and leading a full actice social life I advertised extensivley. The women I was getting put in way less effort, were in way worse shape, and I got a sense that there was something inherently wrong with this scenario since they could still easily blow me off just because there was always another dude who was probably way more interesting than them because he had to be.

Its not just a lack of matches, its that when you get matches the general feeling of unequalness doesn't really go away in my experience.

I don’t have many pictures, of the pics I do have I am inside my house, no full body pic and my bio literally says “u rekon we could just survive off of cheese alone”? Also for my occupation I put astronaut, not because I’m an astronaut but because I get so fuckinh high I feel like I’m in space.

I think one of the major flaws tho is the pics. I don’t have any with friends or outside. This is because I don’t have any friends and I don’t go outside. I’m just hoping to find a woman on the same vibe tbh.

I will say tho I do get matches and we do exchange numbers but my social skills are soooo lacking that I mess it up all the time. I would say there’s like 10 times where I said something weird where the girl immediately unmatched.

I’m overweight. That’s my issue. If I can get down to 12-15 bodyfat, I’d be crushing it because I’m already 6’1

I don't do apps and I'm married so got no skin in the game, but I do try to help guys out when they ask for advice on their profiles. Here is the jist of the issues I'm seeing:

-By and large the guys who don't get matches tend to be nerds. One guy posted his profile and it literally had a photo of him swinging a lightsaber. He is a 23 year old "man". I also did play with lightsabers....when I was 5.

-Poor grooming habits - from gross facial hair, to bad haircuts, to glasses. There is so much a man can improve with a good haircut and styling and a good trimmer.

-Clothing - this is a really big one! Guys who are having trouble all dress really poorly. Like poorly fitting clothes (usually too baggy), lots of unironed tshirts, graphic tees, etc. They are basically grown children who never learned how to dress themselves.

-There are also issues with posing and body language. I generally see way too much goofy facial expressions, hands in pockets, smiling directly at the camera with that lost puppy face that says "please like me". It's so approval seeking and such a turn off. Add on bad posture. Not taking up space like you own the place. Hunched over, etc.

-Photos - lots of issues with photos, but generally lots of selfies, no full body shots, dorky photos with cats. Hell, I've seen guys post photos with their moms. Tell me you are a virgin without telling me you are a virgin.

-Bios - literally every guy says he loves a sense of humor yet all unsuccessful profiles are devoid of it. Not only that! They are downright boring. Here is a typical profile:

"Hi, I'm new here. Looking for someone cool to chill with. I like video games and hiking. I also like food".

Literally!

A few reasons I’m not too successful on apps. There’s the general reasons: men outnumber women like 4 to 1 and maybe 9 to 1 so there is no real chance of being successful for men on apps honestly.

Reasons that are more specific to me: Race - I’m not white. This is a big disadvantage. I’m also thin, not very muscular. On this one I am trying a little - I did start lifting. Not as frequently as I’d like and Not seeing results but will keep at it.

I don’t like my photo taken so use old photos. They’re not good quality and I’m not photogenic. Can’t blame women for not being interested. I still get some matches because one of the photos was a topless catwalk for charity.

I need to speak to my woman friends for tinder profile advice really.

I ised to not get matches and i would say the biggest problem was authenticity.

Specifically that I was being authentic in the first place.

If you want success on those things as a scour subreddits for examples of profiles from people claiming high rates of success and copy them almodt verbatim.

That and get better pics

I’m obese and have few good pictures. Pics I do have are generally selfies. I’m trying to improve my grooming/dressing.

Weight loss has been a long struggle for me. Recently had a knee injury which has complicated things. I’m working on it though.

Not being attractive. Being a skinny geeky guy is a turnoff to most women. Not that it matters anymore as I quit the dating scene nearly ten years ago.

Probably just shit pics. I never took dating apps serious and just whatever pics. I still get matches and sex but progress would be alot better if I took proper pics

I don't list my height, so they probably assume I'm less than 6'. No photos that convey a fun spontaneous lifestyle, no social media presence that shows that I'm "a somebody"

I scrape by with a couple of low quality matches per week probably because of my looks but I just toy around with them for my own amusement. I haven't ever wanted to date one of them in a while, I'd rather pay for it the honest way
