Purple Pill Debate is now YEUGE!

Over the past year and half Purple Pill Debate has seen tremendous growth and development. When I came onboard as mod 3 years ago, there was about 200-300 active users at a given time and 1-2 new threads per day. Today, we average about 800 unique visitors/day and have upwards of 15 threads/day. We have since become regulars on the front page of Reddit, ranked 147 in most active subs on Reddit, and even our weekly community chat threads alone receive more than 1k comments per day. So thank you to everyone in the community who helped turn this little niche subreddit into a place where no matter your political beliefs, your gender, or your upbringing - you can have someone disagree with you over the most mundane bullshit.

New Moderators

Please welcome our newest mod u/SpaceCatApuro! He is a red leaning male mod.

We are still looking for 1-2 other moderators, at least one more blue to maintain balance. But we are open to adding 1 more red or neutral person as well. Good nominees will be:

  • People who have a decent posting history on PPD.
  • People who are calm and can de-escalate situations - won't get upset at trolls/obnoxious people.
  • Willingness to deal with a lot of comment moderation.
  • Asian/Australia timezone is a bonus.
