In a debate in another thread, a couple of TRPers are disagreeing with my point that women are more vulnerable during the physical act of sex.

My point is that heterosexual sex involves a man physically entering a woman's body. Once he's in there, she's at a big physical disadvantage - so the best she can do to control the situation is have higher standards for whomever she sleeps with.

Or, as one user put it, she is the seller/he is the buyer. Sure, of course.

Other posters are making the argument that this reasoning is flawed.

So, PPD, what are your thoughts?

EDIT - to clarify, I'm not talking about intentional abuse or rape, though those things happen and it's hard to discuss this without getting sidetracked on that subject. Even during consensual sex, injuries happen. We've all heard men brag about women "not being able to walk the next day." They're unable to walk because of pain, which isn't fun (even if the process of getting said pain was).
