These are unprecedented times and I've noticed a lot of young women are selling themselves. Considering this trend is likely to continue into the future, there will undoubtedly be a lot more women who do it. Men, if you found out your daughter was a sex worker, how would you react? I dont mean selling feet pics either, she's selling her body. Alternatively, how would you feel if your girlfriend or wife was a sex worker in the past?

I'd probably debate with her like I do with people on this sub, but I wouldn't tell her that she couldn't do it. If she's a legal sex worker then she's an adult at that point and I'm not in a position to tell her what she can and can't do with her life. I wouldn't disown her or anything, even though I couldn't support her decision.

Probably grossed out. I wouldn't disown my daughter or force her to quit, but it'd be disappointing for her to choose that.

I'd never date or marry a former sex worker. Physically intimacy would be meaningless to someone who commodified it.

Saddened and wondering what I did which can have triggered such response but I would not force my will unto her.

It is her choice.

I would only be annoying about protection and investing.

If she knowingly choose a path which will decrease her rmv it is her choice. Not mine. My work is to advice, not to choose for oothers.

If it was a case of necessity, like choosing between being a prostitute or dying, I would be affected but I would try my best to maintain the relationship as it was before. I probably wouldn't be able, but I would at least try. I too did things I wouldn't want to.

If it was not the case, and she just was looking some extra cash, it would make me very sad and I would probably not intended in maintaining the relationship unless she was very, very high value to compensate. There is a high chance not only I am also a way to get cash... but to be betrayed by her.

I would actually prefer not knowing. Knowing your partner is high n count makes you lose value, no matter how hard you try. You can just act as it is not the case.

Are there sex workers that actually enjoy their job and are fulfilled by it? Like are there women that have the mindset of "Yes this is my passion I love fucking dudes and getting paid for it"?

Some famous porn stars are, but I can't imagine your average women being fulfilled by it, but who knows.

My general impression is that sex work is not something well adjusted and self actualized women engage in. So I'd be pretty concerned if my daughter did such thing.

On principle, I don't believe there's anything morally wrong with prostitution, but being a prostitute is often dangerous and it's not even like it pays well.

If my daughter told me she was a prostitute, I would ask why she didn't just make an OF.

I wouldn't care about the sexual history of my partner.

Not right away, I'd fight her tooth and nail first, but I agree. You almost wouldn't need to disown her. We use the term sex worker to somehow turn a blind eye to all the probable behaviors a prostitute will go through outside of sex.
