I ask specifically about LA because I know it's an anomalous city for dating: There is a plethora of absurdly beautiful women, all with an artistic sense (modeling, acting).

As an average Joe dating in LA - meaning you're not some famous producer or actor - do you have to be extra RP in snagging a woman? In keeping a woman?

This is interesting for me, bc i split my time between Texas and Los Angeles. I find i am wayyy more unique in Texas as a prettyboy and thus i can be more passive about finding girls. In LA there are way more girls overall whose style and philosophy i match with, but it’s definitely more work. (Then again, in TX i have my own house in the coolest part of town. In LA i am a part timer who shares a flat with my pornstar ex girlfriend lololol).

But also, LA be huge af and like, many different scenes. People here are talking about the mercenaries from the Mulholland party and Soho House scene. That’s like saying everyone in NYC is a runway model who only dates bankers. That local stereotype exists, but like... it is a very surface level assessment.

I think the normies down in OC are more redpill. In LA proper, dominance is expressed through a hall of deflections and “good vibes”. In your language, LA Chad is sometimes fucking vegan for chrissakes

Mine is a brilliant but poor background girl from the sticks who hated working office jobs and figured this was her best way to make bank and not spend weekdays on the clock while saving for school. Very open minded but totally sober and very much not crazy in her personal life. It takes all types.

I have a home in Pomona. Right outside of East L.A. It's all about status, frame, and game. Even the homeless have girlfriends. If your hoping to snag 9s and 10s with a shitty body, no frame, no game, and being broke. Not really going to happen. Every relationship is long distance due to traffic. But your an average joe. this reads as overdramatic but i do feel like LA is the "male" nyc where young guys dream of going for what the fuck ever dream and end up getting turned out, i see it with a lot of my guy friends from college who moved there. my guy friend moved out there to be an actor, had very fleeting momentary success, and is now basically couch hopping or banging girls to keep a roof over his head. its sad

Maybe if you co-habitate. Maybe? ... but I doubt its legitimate. That fear is way overblown versus a lot of other psycho shit any long term partner could pull off anywhere.

I grew up in So Cal. I knew a lot of chicks I thought were psycho(and one or two who actually were). Not one of them would bother going after some rando like so.

I've actually run into more of that level of psycho/absurd(and just plain stupid if we're calling it like it is) in the midwest, though its nice the law doesn't help them. Based on my sister's experience though, the law swings too far the other way.

Los Angeles is a huge city with different cultures, pick one. My boyfriend lives in the nice part, but when I take the train I see what the other sections are about. There is always one street lunatic on the train once you get into LA proper.

What is dating like? Get online and snag someone. Be prepared to drive long distance. If you want a more conservative gal, look in Orange County. Lots and lots of fake boobs. People here are good looking and spend a lot of money on cars because housing is absurdly expensive and you have to have something nice when you are stuck on the 10 freeway.

Most of the stereotypes about California are not true, but the women here are hotter.

That was the joke. It's not just LA, it's everywhere. It's saturated. Unless you've got millions in capital to play with, you're not going to do anything but try to break even. And for what?

Ultimately the vast majority of businesses fail or make less than that person would in the private sector.

The guys that know what's up are scouting big growth opportunity in other countries.

You can actually understand this by following the investment portfolios and changes in them of players like Sequoia capital. They used to be just a US venture firm.

They're looking into the future in the same way as when they invested in a little company called Intel. They've funded most of the major players and have made literally billions doing it.

They haven't been shy to mention that United States is no longer the world's prime market to start a business in.

Understand this. You can do $125M a year, and your business is still pretty much a nobody in most industries. For a business veteran, the term upstart is like hearing pre-med.

Actually most of them are moving to LA because entrepreneurs don't want to waste money on COL. Surprisingly LA is fairly cheap compared to any other US metro(coastal.)

Yeah, you do have to be brilliant to get a plastic surgery residency. Orthopedic residencies are just as competitive though. UCLA plastic surgeons...probably the best in the area.
