Submissive is a dumb word to use, but it is used because many men would desire that type of partner. I think a lot of men really mean being cooperative and agreeable in general.

I am pretty sure most men mostly just want a woman who is:

Not a big nuisance/bother by behavior.
Lovable/amicable/fuckable
Somewhat reasonable/realistic

Submissive may have the traits for it, but it is not the only way possible. Some in TRP suppose a good catch all for these traits is "submissive".

edit: before anyone asks, I know I am tecnically not the reddest of pills, but I preferred to answer.

Look, its pretty clear the women who get triggered by "submissive" are not strong women. Strong women have the ability to be vulnerable. So whatever tone or safe language we want to use, that is the core issue.

A weak woman hears submissive and automatically thinks BDSM or abuse.

That's a stupid part of TRP, I barely understand it myself; some guys seek women who would subjugate themselves to them 24/7, serve them by cooking, cleaning and who knows what else. Dunno bro, sounds weird AF to me.

Even in my pre-TRP days I was always attracted by career women; I never needed a woman to clean and cook for me.

TRP is good, but some fringe ideas have become popular enough to give TRP a bad rep.

What we really mean is that a woman has to display a lot more "stereotypical" feminine personality traits rather than masculine.

We want a women to have more feminine characteristics like being warm, understanding, kind, nurturing etc. instead of masculine characteristics like strong, independent, assertive, competitive etc.

You shouldn't take it that literally. We are just generalizing a sets of feminine traits when we use the word "submissive".

Submissive means following your man as the leader or captain.

As a woman, I am the first mate. My job is to carry out the captain's commands, give him guidance when asked, and take care of my side of things to ensure our ship runs as it's meant to.

Submissive isn't sexual at all in this context.

There is yin and yang, masculine and feminine, dominant and submissive. Both are valuable and necessary for success. Neither one is greater than the other, they are simply different.

I'm happy to give examples if you'd like. I'm definitely submissive toward my partner (and in general).

This is not just women though, I have this with everything in my life. I am always the one who has to arrange everything when it comes to social events, even if I have not arranged the social event, if it is shit, everyone looks to me for guidence.

I really am the "Leader of Men" at times.

Like seriously i would live to lay back and let someone else make all the decisions, but the universe had different plans for me.

its the same in work as well, every job I have had, managers see something in me, and i always end up being the senior person and having the responsibility.
