Throughout my time at PPD, I've noticed a few things:

  • NotAllTRPers: Not all TRPers are evil. Probably most aren't. Most seem to have deep-rooted issues, mostly regarding women. But who doesn't have issues or some latent psychological trauma about something, somewhere?

  • Many in my interactions, seem to require explicit instruction for a lot.

For the purpose of this OP, I'll focus on the second bullet.

Of course there's the whole "Be yourself" platitude that causes them much ire, and I understand their perspective, however it only validates my understanding of them.

But I've also noticed that only TRPers seem to think "communication" means "talk and do nothing."

Literally, I've only seen this from TRP posters.

Never in my life have I met someone who didn't follow up "talking" with "action."

We communicate to identify the problem. Or at the very least to understand how the other person views the problem - many times it may be different than how you view it.

Once it's identified, we then strategize a solution.

When you "talk" or "communicate" do you not follow it up with action-steps?

Did you not know to do that before TRP?
