I know one low value woman so she’s immediately the one I think of when I read this post. She’s basically what people refer as WT.

Dropped out of high school, no motivation to do anything better, tattoos, piercings, bad spending habit, negative IQ, lying all the time, relationship-wise she attracts people exactly like her. Stole money from classmates. Absolutely zero shame. Always a taker, never a giver.

She’s the type person you take look at whenever you want to feel better about yourself and remind yourself things could always be worse.

It’s hard to answer because if a woman is super hot but she’s an absolute bitch then she’s low value to me, but she’s not considered low value to men.

I digress. In my opinion, a low value woman is someone who doesn’t take responsibility for her actions.

Women who have two to three baby daddies and can’t even afford the children.

Women who sleep with married men or men in relationships.

Women who expect to be taken care of without much contribution except what’s between their legs (gold diggers, sugar babies) regardless of how hot/young she is.

Deadbeat mothers

Porn stars/sex workers (sorry, but I wouldn’t want my daughter to be one’s nor my son to marry one.)

I know in the end what I believe doesn’t matter.

I would never call someone low-value, but these are things that I can’t help but frown upon and it’s things I myself would never do.

-doesn’t take care of her physical health or appearance (she becomes overweight, doesn’t exercise, eats poorly and gets acne, smokes cigarettes, drinks a lot, does drugs, has a poor sleep schedule, etc.)

-conducts herself in unclassy ways (gets into physical or verbal fights [in public], gets sloppy drunk, sleeps around within the same social circle, wears trashy clothes, starts drama, etc.)

-is bad with money and/or lives above her means

-has children outside of a committed relationship or with more than two men in her lifetime, or is a bad mother

-cheats

A low value woman or man in general is a person who generally subtracts value from your life. And what is value is your life can vary from person to person.

I would say for me it would be and honestly its both men and women someone who's a taker, narcissistic, has irresponsible self destructive habits (impulse spending landing them in enormous debt, self medication to avoid emotional problems) , a lack of personal accountability, not understanding and unwilling to compromise on little things, a general lack of empathy and emotional maturity.

So if they don't add value to your life or they take away from the value you have in yours they are probably a low value partner.

A low value person to me is someone who is abuses other people (physically, emotionally, socially, etc.). I have a co-worker who is a very beautiful women, the kind of women incels would consider a giga-Stacy. I consider her a low value person because she cheats on her husband rather regularly with a variety of people sometimes for financial gains sometimes because she is hoping to gain a richer more successfully partner. I consider her a horrible, low-value person. I also know a poly amorous woman and while her life style is not one I would want, I accept that she is a grown adult entitled to make whatever decisions she wants with her life. She is wonderful person, kind, generous and honest in all her dealing with people. Every one of her lovers knows upfront the moral code she lives by and that if they don't like it, they shouldn't date her. She is what I would consider a high value woman.

I would argue a low value women, is someone who basis her entire life on the man/men around her. A low value woman is a woman who would subtract from her partners quality of life and is a threat to herself and others.

It'd difficult to measure a woman's worth in regards to her education, career, and accomplishments, because most men just care that a woman is attractive enough to him and sexually available to him. A guy will require "more" from a woman in terms of finances, education, and career for social status, or if he's not capable of covering her living expenses by himself, or if he doesn't think she deserves to be "taken care of".

Even if a woman subtracts from her partners overall quality of life, he still may find her general presence more satisfying than being alone, which is sad. I consider a low value person, someone who drains the life, resources, self-esteem, and will to live out of a person. They're like a parasite that drains a person into a shell.

Low value men and women are the same to me. I have dated LVM and been friends with LVW. They are similar to each other in that they have these traits (often not finding this out until many months after befriending/dating them)

-Entitled (meaning they expect more from a partner than they are willing to give, and want this status quo to be accepted)

-Selfish and/or narcissistic (these two things are different but often overlap)

-Lazy

-Mean spirited

-Hedonistic

-Impulsive

-Dishonest

-Fake and/or catty, passive aggressive

What constitutes this behavior I listed will differ from person to person.

I don't really think of people as low value but I do think of individuals not having the characteristics to be a good partner in a marriage/relationship. Things like mental health problems, bad with money, poor boundaries, problems with substance abuse.

I'm actually most of these things myself and have stayed single because of it.

And, I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who is ALL of these things at once. But yes, I would say I know some pretty low value women as a woman. I love some of them even, but I TOTALLY get why guys aren't dating them or that the guys who try don't last or aren't the kind of guys you'd want to date.

A low value woman is one who does not add any value to your life, or who even makes your life worse. Same as for a low value man. Their traits will be similar to a low value male typically, they will be selfish, takers, demand a lot and don’t give back. People generally think of women taking more in terms of money from men and men in terms of unpaid labor from women, but it can go either way. Anyone who tears down your self-esteem and regularly makes you less happy than you would be without them, also is low value. It has a lot less to do with looks or money than some people assume, and more to do with that person’s net positive or negative on your life.

I think what makes a person (woman or man whatever) “low value” or better wording less attractive are traits like:

-liars/cheaters/scammers/sneaky people -insincere -no empathy, low EQ -narcissist/selfish -negative mindset/self pity/victim mentality -hateful, violent, anger issues, tends to blame others, emotionally unstable -needy/desperate, do anything for the other person without valuing oneself. Solely trying to please the opposite sex (pickme/simp) -Bad hygiene, dirty house -unhealthy eating habits -doesn’t take care of themselves/their bodies, doesn’t work out, doesn’t have real hobbies -no friends/loner, difficulties making relationships with people in real life -smoker, heavy drugs user, alcoholic -no money/bad with money -solely depends on someone else’s income, spoiled, lives off parents -never worked, never had a career -low or no education, low IQ -lots of swearing and vulgar language -sex and/or porn addict -degrades themselves for attention and or money (please get therapy) -vulgar

I agree with the posts saying low value isn’t really an ethical way to describe people. It’s rather rude. Weird how people look down on others so easily. Just mind your own business.

In perspective, high value traits for women and all other people would be something like:

-steady going career, stable income (bonus points for entrepreneurs with a growing business, people with a double career, people with multiple stream of income, the high performers, people with professional high titles, the PhD owners) -house owner -good savings, good credit score -no debt or capable to pay it off with ease -well groomed and put together, looking and smelling nice -empathic, kind, considerate of other people’s feelings -good humor -likable, easily makes friends -understands their own worth, values themselves -has their own hobbies, likes to invest in hobbies -takes care of their bodies, works out regularly -healthy eating habits -highly educated, high IQ -sophisticated, well spoken -independent, knows how to cook and clean and does it regularly. -financial independent (bonus points for those who were completely independent after 18 years old)

I find that the general consensus of what is considered low-value in RP communities troubling. I've seen "low-value" men described as those who drive Hondas and work in blue-collar professions. I've seen people on this subreddit comment that women who were raped as children are low-value because they have "irreversible psychological damage". Yikes...

Search for "signs of a low value women" on Google and the first thing you get is an article that says that women who are clumsy in heels, who work in the skincare industry and who haven't traveled are low-value. What?

I used to work with the elderly population. I took care of widows, divorced singles and unhappy and happy elderly couples. When I was single and doing some soul-searching, I'd ask my clients for relationship advice. They were happy to give out plenty. Want to know whether or not you'll end up at a nursing home either still in love or absolutely miserable with your SO? Shared values and good morals. It's not that complicated. If you're a judgemental, unforgiving, immature and abusive person your relationship is going to be shit.

If people are going to be categorized as either low-value or high-value, there should be a shift in focus from superficial qualities to moral values. The cliche "it's not on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts" rings true.

Honestly, I find the whole language of "low value" to be gross, whether it's applied to men or women. People are always redeemable and have the potential to change and improve themselves, however unlikely it may seem.

Putting that aside for a moment, I suppose I would consider "low value" traits to be things like:

Cruelty; unkindness; lack of empathy; lack of regard for others (especially the vulnerable like children, animals, etc.); selfishness.
No real interests or passions; no curiosity about the world or desire to learn new things.
Quick to anger; short-tempered; always involved in some drama/conflict; lack of emotional control and emotional intelligence; inability to be self-aware.
Inability to be responsible and plan for the long-term, often resulting in destructive behaviours/situations like overspending, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, being an absent parent, issues with maintaining employment, being constantly broke, etc.
Closed-minded; no intellectual curiosity; unwilling to debate ideas or consider new perspectives.
Criminal or immoral behaviour (don't care about minor shit like occasional recreational drug use, which I also enjoy). On the flip side, I also wouldn't be interested in a very uptight person who is unable to enjoy the occasional hedonism.

I'm bisexual, so these apply equally to both women and men for me. Physicality doesn't come into it as much - obviously, I need to be attracted to the person, and I have my own preferences in that regard, but I've also become attracted to people over time because I enjoyed their personality/wit/intelligence/kindness.

Barring lesbian relationships, men are the ones who determine if a woman is HV or LV in the sexual market place. It is a free market. LV women are nothing more or less than women who are not desirable for sex and/or relationships. As men are more desperate for sex than women, their standards are necessarily lower. But I do think it’s funny how many men are angry at “ugly” women because men decided to sleep with them or date them. If you think there’s inflation in a woman’s sexual value, men are the cause of it.

I don't believe in the concept as far as dating.

There are just people who someone isn't attracted to or they aren't compatible with.

Women should not be put on a pedestal but even someone who I wouldn't date probably has a match out there somewhere. Just because I wouldn't date her doesn't mean she's "low value". Same as any gender.

I won't date men or women with kids (except rare exception if the kids are older/grown/almost grown). I won't date anyone who wants to be a parent. That doesn't make them "low value" it just makes them incompatible.

The idea of classifying people as high value and low value is kind of abhorrent.

There can be people who are currently not ideal relationship material, but that's subject to change.

Serious untreated mental illness, has no friends, doesn't engage in hobbies, has no aspirations or life goals, has self-esteem solely based on male validation, gets too serious too fast, etc.

All this would indicate a person should probably work on themselves instead of a relationship. It is next to impossible to have a healthy relationship when you have no life outside of the relationship. It basically guarantees codependency and toxic behavior.

All humans are a mixture of what would be considered high- and low-value traits. I doubt anyone appraising accurately could identify a single person who was all “high” or all “low”. You identify the “high” traits that are most important to you, and compromise on the rest.

The problem lies in most of us not being accurate in our assessment of what’s important to us. Unintentionally, because you don’t realize how important certain things are until you start living with someone. For men, take note of initiative/perseverance. Once you own a home those traits are invaluable. Something is always broken, or needs maintenance, or needs sprucing up. For women, a nonjudgmental/critical attitude goes a long way.

One of the most interesting things about this to me is someone could have decent or high social standing and take from some people and be more balanced with others. Someone who seems "low value" to one person could be of higher value to another.

Pickmes, religious women, conventionally ugly women who are narcissistic, uneducated women, low-libido women, women who are bad with money, etc. are all low value to me, personally, because there's not much they could offer me that I'd want; I assign negative value to them, they are a liability if I decide to have them in my life, and will detract from my own growth.

I don't like to think of people in terms of their value because we are all God's children, etc., but the women I've known who struggled with dating usually had at least one of two issues: they were overweight, although not of such striking proportions that they attracted chubby-chasers; or they had children, especially boys. (Not many men seem to want to step into the role of step-parent to a house full of unruly teenaged boys!)

I don't like calling people 'low value', I think it's mostly used as a synonym for "incompatible for my dating standards", but that doesn't necessarily mean they have lower value as a human being.

The main attribute that I think makes a woman not a good dating partner, is extreme insecurity which just infects every other aspect of their life. Like the type of women who will start a fight with their partner if he so much as glances at another woman in public, or if he follows women on social media, or god forbid... has female friends. But there are a lot of men who prefer this extreme level of jealousy I suppose?

No education, no interests that are cultivated, unable to stand on her own, overly dependent on other people for support, poor communicator, unable to regulate emotions, needs too much external validation, identity is dependent on her relationship to someone else (i.e. being a spouse or a mother as your whole personality), feels entitled to special treatment, cannot be held accountable for her actions.

That’s the mental picture I keep in mind when I need to remind myself of what I never want to be.

Someone who doesn’t have their life together, who is abusive, who has anger management issues, anyone who has cheated in the past, someone who is demeaning to other people (esp women) - and i look carefully at how he treats people who he’s not attracted to, if he treats his family poorly, if he always trash talks his ex, if he lacks confidence or have some other inferiority complex, especially if he tries to hide that by being controllng and anger, lacks patience, contributed net negative to society

A low value woman to me would be a woman who just acts judgmental of others and like a bully. I think kindness and empathy are the highest values you can have as a human. So anyone who lacks that, woman or man, is low value in my eyes. Selfishness of course is included when talking about lack of empathy.

I think e.g. cheating on your partner is low value because you are hurting someone else. I don’t think sleeping around or having OF us low value because it doesn’t have anything to do with other people. Doing drugs, being a single parent, or being lazy and not having any dreams or aspirations too doesn’t have anything to do with other people. I think being judgmental of people doing these things is more low value than doing any of those things, because why would you get so worked up about what people do with their lives if it doesn’t hurt others? Live and let live. I could get worked up about rock stars who do all these kinds of hedonistic things or people I know who just sit on the couch all day and call them low value, but I honestly don’t really care about them living their lives in those ways. If they start acting like @ssh0les on the other hand, that is a different story.

A woman who submits to men and goes along with the idea that it's "natural" so she can get head pats from smelly old saggy balled dudes who value TRADITION.

Pick me women.

Red pill women.

Women who think being a SAHM is the true calling of all women.

Oh and also women who get in literal, physical fights for internet clout or because they're having a tantrum.

Compulsive liar
No ambition in personal or professional life
Cheaters
Sex workers (in person or OF)
Gold diggers
Aggressive
Masculine traits and proud to have them
Alcoholics/drug addicts
Radical feminist or radical right wing women
Low levels of empathy
Extremely obese by choice

I can think of lots of others but these things immediately jump to mind
