The manosphere says men are attracted to younger women because of biology, and they say women are attracted to richer men because of hypergamy.

Well these two things need to go hand in hand, as in it would only make sense for a young woman to date an older man if that man is above her socioeconomic level.

If a woman is dating an older man from her same socioeconomic level, she's losing out, he's satisfying his "biology" and she's not satisfying her "hypergamy".

If a woman is dating a same-age man from a higher socioeconomic level, he's losing out, she's satisfying her "hypergamy" and he's not satisfying his "biology".

But in most couples today the man and the woman are the same age and from the same socioeconomic class, so nobody's getting their "biology" or "hypergamy".

Women are not very "hypergamous" because they are unlikely to leave their equal husband to go date an older man from a higher socioeconomic class.

I would say it's men who are more likely to leave their wife once they are rich and old enough to get a younger woman from a lower socioeconomic class.

Of course some men will date younger women from a higher social class, but that's not a behavior that makes any logical sense for the woman.

These concepts of "biology" and "hypergamy" are overblown because the reality is most couples don't operate on age gaps and socioeconomic gaps.
