So I thought this was interesting. Basically it's a rub and tug shop but for women. You pay for a massage that ends with a handjob. Nothing particularly new except it's targeting just women.

What stood out was the overwhelmingly positive spin on the entire thing.

There were no dire concerns about sex slavery, trafficking, using underage girls, disease, abuse, etc that accompany every article about men visiting a hooker. Also there was no implicit or explicit reference to these "Johns" being pathetic creepy losers.

I couldn't imagine a series of photographs of a smiling male journalist getting jerked off by some blurry faced masseuse and giving a thumbs up at the end.

PPD, what gives? I've been assured that only women are sex shamed and male sexuality is praised under the patriarchy.

How do we explain this double standard given these facts?
