I recently thought about this myself.

I wrote a comment about it a while back, and after further thinking, I'm quite sure that substances are one of the most consistent factors in getting laid:

Anyone else think illicit substances are honestly one of the fastest and most pain-free ways to get laid if you're a guy?

From what I know, most casual encounters occur with some level of alcoholic inebriation, but I also think smoking with someone or doing other drugs with them is a pretty damn quick road.

I think especially in lower-income communities, it's a pretty common unwritten rule that if a guy and a girl are meeting up to smoke together, it's pretty obvious that it's gonna lead to something.

Plus, inviting someone over to share a couple of blunts (just you two) is a seemingly much easier way to invite someone over. It does most of the work for you, I've seen dudes bypass having to take her on dates this way.

Hell, even without alcohol, I think marijuana high can lower your inhibitions just enough to make making a move easier.

And I've never been to a music festival or in the hippie type of environment, but AFAIK, all types of wild shit happens there.

Also I think it's generally due to the more low-inhib types of environments drugs are used in too

And in part I can say I noticed a lot of times dudes who don't drink or smoke also coincide with other factors which coincide with men who may not get laid as much.

But that's just my two cents.

Some people however, have stated that this isn't true and that illicit substances are pretty overrated in terms of the casual sex environment. If you believe it doesn't help, why's that? (or even if not as much as I say it can)

If you agree it helps, how much do you think it does? Personally, I believe it can help a lot more than people here give it credit for
