In all fairness this is not necessarily a bad thing. If she was found guilty she would be given a set prison term and possible parole. Being found insane means she will be imprisoned at a facility that makes a supermax prison look like daycare. She was likely sentenced to a certain number of years, but she's in there until the staff at the facility decide she's sane. She just might find herself there for the rest of her life.
