I was upset reading this article until I read that the boys parents could have pressed charges on the female but decided not to. The boy registered as a sex offender. They didn't even fight. They just took it.

This was the only crime. He was a little shit for this, but he shouldn't be charged like he was. Maybe forced to pay restitution and some community service, but what 15 year old doesn't have some serious hormones. He was an asshole, but we all are, male or female, at that age.

What happened is not Illegal in Ohio. It's a "Closeness of Age" law. Unless someone is under 12. As long as the two people are 12 or over and within 4 years of age from each other its legal.

Seriously, if underage kids sending each other nudes constitutes "possession of pornographic material featuring a minor," they had better get some more prosecutors. They'll have kids in court every single day for the rest of their lives. This is just ridiculous and the parents of the girl should be ashamed of themselves.

This is kind of cringeworthy. The boy here is 15... By that age, you are intelligent enough to make logical decisions, and that asshole blackmailing her into giving nude photos is absolutely out of this world.

This is the first time I've ever been kind of sickened by this sub. I work at YMCAs and have two younger brothers, so I know what kind of behaviors kids are expected to have. I would expect a 15-year-old to get caught with weed at worst, or maybe have an awkward, fumbling relationship.

Blackmailing girls into giving up nude photos? 15 isn't the new 7, fucking retards.
