the problem with theranos is that anyone with a brain saw this coming from 10 miles off. she and her company were promising something that had literally not been possible before, and was not possible by anyone else, or even feasibly possible by several other large companies who do this kind of lab work.

Then, it escalated when her investors started demanding to see proof, and it was withheld or faked.

the red flags were there, it was pretty obvious to me from the start when walgreens signed on that this was total bullshit. I watched as investor after investor just kept pouring money into this scam, and it just evaporated. she has that money somewhere, its just not without touching distance of the US government or investors anymore.

a fool and their money are soon parted, and that was very much true here. she was a good scammer, a good salesperson, and thats it. she scammed lots of people out of lots of money, and I don't feel a single bit bad for them at all, as they had all the flags there to show it was a bad investment. she is a criminal, and should be treated as one, but the investors how handed over piles of cash here are not blameless, they chose to ignore all the warning signs.
