The fake name is almost as great as McLovin

[–]bailaoban 464 points465 points  (23 children) | Copy Link

Her real name is Blakelee, which looks almost as fake.

[–]flperson 82 points83 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Her parents must be big fans!

[–]Shizo94 23 points24 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Upnawf 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You never saw that before? Mannn between that one the and college bowl names that was like the king joke in 2012

[–]Ghostiestboi 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

A classic

[–]goboks 55 points56 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Srsly, if I was a bouncer, an ID that said Blakelee would be hella sus.

[–]TheUltimateSalesman 11 points12 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

I think it's pronounced Blah-Kelly with the emphasis on the second syllable.

[–]a_leash_on_a_sloth 18 points19 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Kinda like if The Count mispronounces broccoli?

[–]BluetoothMcGee 14 points15 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Incorrect. It's pronounced "buh-lah-ke-lay".

I've taught in inner city schools for over 15 years. Trust me on this.

[–]skillzflux 18 points19 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You done messed up, A-a-Ron

[–]RajunCajun48 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I dunno, I feel like he would've gotten her white trash ass name correct

[–]mandrews03 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I would have never pronounced it this way. Always would have said “Blake-lee”

[–]TheUltimateSalesman -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

In pittsburgh, I'm not joking, there were two students.
Or-ahngh-illow and Luh-mahngh-illow. Spelled differently. Orange Jello and Lemon Jello.

[–]_kasten_ 16 points17 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Do you want to go to WAR, Buh-LAH-kuh-lee? 'Cause we COULD go to war.

[–]felixthecat128 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Broccoli?

[–]drapehsnormak 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Buh-lah-kee is how Blake is pronounced in Key and Peele's "Substitute Teacher." This is a reference to that.

[–]felixthecat128 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know lol. I was making a bad joke. A really bad one considering it's pretty racist... for reference, say it the way that guy has it spelled out with an Asian accent

[–]potandcoffee 8 points9 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

That is a very stupid name and it makes me hate her parents a little bit, tbh. No wonder she's a moron.

[–]Flakey_flakes 4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

She might not be a moron. It just might only be the first time she didn't get to do whatever the hell she wants. "No???? what do you mean....No?"

[–]ReasonReader 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

She might not be a moron.

She called the cops to incriminate herself for forgery. She's a moron.

[–]Soda_BoBomb 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why. Why Blakelee? Just name her Blake FFS

[–]TheFr1nk 202 points203 points  (29 children) | Copy Link

It was either that or Mohammed

[–]yaboifiretruck 96 points97 points  (28 children) | Copy Link

Why the fuck would it be either that or Mohammad?

[–]El-Grande-Smokio 202 points203 points  (27 children) | Copy Link

Mohammad is the most common name on earth. Read a fucking book

[–]magnificentmucus 69 points70 points  (23 children) | Copy Link

Have you ever even met anyone named Mohammad?

[–]honkygrandma 100 points101 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Have you ever met anyone named McLovin?

[–]Almbassman 58 points59 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

No! And that why it's a stupid, made up, fucking fairytale name.

[–]Honztastic 63 points64 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Take off the vest. You look like Aladdin

[–]MusicMeister52 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]Theons_sausage 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't know if I'm just getting old, but I feel like there haven't been any movies on that level of funny in a long time. Feels like movies stopped being really funny in the early 2010's.

[–]ToshinRaiizen 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

OH NO IT'S THE COPS

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is hilarious

[–]Garathon 17 points18 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Come to Sweden! There everyone is named Mohammed or Ali.

[–]DJ_8Man 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Sweden should add that to their travel brochures.

[–]goboks 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Boxing fans?

[–]CO303Throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

According to census data, that’s incorrect

[–]rollingtubist 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know 2 Mohammeds and 0 Alis and I'm pretty sure I live in Sweden. It all depends on where you live.

[–]rollingtubist 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know 2 Mohammeds and 0 Alis and I'm pretty sure I live in Sweden. It all depends on where you live.

[–]some-R6-siege-fan 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Mohammed avdol

[–]vemiam 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm from Rochdale, I know at least 100 people named Mohammad or some spelling variant. Probably more thinking about it. There's a fair few cricketers named that as well

[–]FappingAsYouReadThis 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny how you can't draw a picture of "the prophet" but you can collectively name millions of people after him.

[–]Frequentbadideas 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh oh I have! Pick me pick me!

[–]Kitchen-Jello9637 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

How could you not have met someone names Muhammad? Living in Alberta Canada and I’d say I work with an average of 3-5 a week.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes? We have quite a few people named that at work, with various spellings.

[–]thedrunkenrebel 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

alst book he read was Book of Ra, at a slot machine

[–]Purplepimplepuss -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

John would like a word with you.

[–]Gotexas1972 -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought it was Ahmed.

[–]Hops143 12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Her real name is almost as great as McLovin.

[–]DirteeBoo 10 points11 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Went to a bar with my Bolivian friend who had an Indian ID. The first name was Upinder and the last name was some kinda spelling like kahr. The first time we tried to use it with her, we were terrified that anybody would ever believe ‘up in da car’ was a real name. It worked flawlessly everywhere we ever used it and she was never questioned.

[–]indianshitsRtheworst 10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Last name was probably “Kaur” it’s a common name in north India (Punjab) and Upinder also sounds Punjabi, I would believe it. We got some wild ass names lol

[–]DirteeBoo 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for the info, my understanding may have been very simple lol. But we are also talking about 15 plus years ago so I definitely forgot the spelling.

[–]Qinjax 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

A common indian girls name is poonam

Its fine

[–]sussinmysussness 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know a Nimrat.

[–]Gorperino 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Jefferson Steelflex

[–]orcscorper 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]IsUrWifeSingle 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

No fake name will ever be as great as McLovin lol that shit was ICONIC.

[–]ImtheKitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Is almost as ridiculous as calling your son McDick

[–]xwolf360 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why u think she called the cops, she thought she would make new friends

[–]SharqPhinFtw 205 points206 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Both her names sound stupid, the real and the fake one lmao.

Ye lemme call my daughter "Blake Lee"

[–]digitalPeneTrashun 62 points63 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

It shows a severe lack of parental juidgement. No wonder this girl thinks she’s a queen

[–]Spacemanspiff1998 42 points43 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"this is my son, Brock lee. please be mindful of what you say around him, he has asparagus"

[–]SlapMuhFro 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Better than the car around here with their daughter's name plastered on the back of it. Annaleigh.

[–]InternationalMap4755 771 points772 points  (79 children) | Copy Link

That's why you don't try going to clubs and just have parties in your friends basement and get buzzed through your teen years.

[–]ImmortanSteve 261 points262 points  (51 children) | Copy Link

That way your parents get the felony.

[–]InternationalMap4755 144 points145 points  (39 children) | Copy Link

Nope not if you know how to be smart and not get caught.

[–]lowglowjoe 85 points86 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

But then how will you ever become instafamous

[–]SwordYieldingCypher 39 points40 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

You can be instafamous without revealing your post code or home address

[–]AnusDrill 18 points19 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Just show boobs

[–]SwordYieldingCypher 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Then you become insta-banned

[–]AnusDrill 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Show the admins your boobs

[–]tittylaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

In high school our house was known for the parties my sister and I threw when my parents were out of town. I had grown people I had never met approach me about them. It was wild.

[–]TimAllensBoytoy 22 points23 points  (25 children) | Copy Link

For a graduation party I got really messed up, we ended up leaving because guns were being pulled and "gangs" were getting heated. On the way out we hit a road block, we get asked to pull over so we do.

My friend was driving, some other guy was in the passenger seat (21+ yo), and I was in the back. My friend and I ended up getting arrested for minor possession of alcohol, meanwhile the other guy was able to leave. While all this is happening a bunch of people from the same party are just breezing through the road block.

Edit: just for clarification we did not have any alcohol in the vehicle if we did the 21+ yo would have had ownership of it, the minor possession was for being drunk, not sure how it works but the charge was dropped.

[–]Cerg1998 28 points29 points  (23 children) | Copy Link

Being allowed to drive, but being arrested for having booze in the car. US is funny.

[–]TimAllensBoytoy 9 points10 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I forgot to mention, there was no alcohol in the car. I got arrested for being drunk as a minor more or less, not sure how it works but it didn't really matter as it got dropped.

[–]Cerg1998 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That makes more sense, thanks.

[–]WolfShaman 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Are you serious? You think that's the law everywhere? The US is a huge place, with many different laws in many different areas.

There are places where open containers of alcohol is perfectly fine, and others where containers have to be sealed.

What's funny is when people automatically think everywhere in the US is the same.

[–]Cerg1998 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Were have I said "oh the whole US is the same", cant seem ro find it, maybe you know, 'case I didn't.

[–]WolfShaman 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess you haven't learned how to read into things, cause you sure as fuck heavily inferred it.

But yeah, go ahead and go full pedantic.

[–]xplosm 0 points1 point  (17 children) | Copy Link

It's easy to buy guns. It's easier to buy ammo. But try to buy alcohol or even a joint and all hell breaks loose...

[–]goboks 11 points12 points  (14 children) | Copy Link

You've never bought a gun clearly.

[–]MikeLinPA 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

He didn't say buy it legally.

[–]goboks 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean it's pretty easy to buy beer and weed illegally. Easier than a gun. There aren't dealers in every city park holding inventory like weed, and you can't just sit outside a convenience store and pay off the first red neck you see for beer.

[–]MikeLinPA 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll take your word for it. I NEVER do anything illegal! (That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. :)

[–]TimAllensBoytoy 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

It is easy to buy guns depending on how you buy them, private sales are instantaneous

[–]goboks 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

So are private sales of booze and weed.

[–]TimAllensBoytoy 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

But its only bad because the poor government can't get their tax from something that may or may not have happened

[–]19Jacoby98 -1 points0 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

I haven't, but I know the steps to take. Far more [steps to purchasing firearms] than just alcohol or weed.

Edit: I am agreeing with person above me. Added brackets for clarity.

[–]danraw_uk 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

You need a background check to buy beer?

[–]goboks 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It took me 6 weeks to buy a shotgun last year. I don't think it's ever taken me even 6 minutes to buy beer.

[–]19Jacoby98 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

What? No, I was agreeing with person above me. I was saying there are far more hurdles buying a gun than alcohol.

I haven't, but I know the steps to take. Far more [steps] than just alcohol or weed.

[–]Nihilistic_Creation -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Its substantially harder to buy guns and ammo than it is too buy booze(and weed in certain states)

[–]albino_acorn 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

i think the real problem in this story is that a bunch of intoxicated teens were carrying guns

[–]smokeitindohomie 5 points6 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

I can't believe you guys have to hide to party in your teens or you risk getting felonies... This is utterly ridiculous imo

[–]iWasAwesome 11 points12 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

That's not true. Getting caught drinking underage is not a felony. My friends and I (all underage) were caught drinking a beer while walking down the sidewalk by an officer. He made us dump it out and throw the bottle out. Then he left. The girl in the article commuted a felony by being in procession of a fraudulent government I.D

Also, where I live, even if you are underage, you are allowed to drink on your own property with parental supervision. Now if the parents are getting every kid in the neighbourhood wasted, that might be a different story...

[–]smokeitindohomie 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Ahhh, thanks for clearing it up. I'm obviously not from the USA and thought it was ridiculous. Same here basically, our legal age is 18 but we got caught multiple times between 13-17 drinking in parks but we never got arrested for it, cops just dump em out and go on their way.

[–]I_Guess_Im_The_Gay 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Depends on where you are from.

16 year olds caught with minor drugs or booze can absolutely be charged heavily. I know from experience.

[–]smokeitindohomie 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes of course it depends on a lot of factors. I have buddies of mine that got arrested for possession as well when we were about 16. I guess I got lucky and landed on the good cops. All they ever did to me was empty my weed in the gutters and send me home.

[–]iWasAwesome 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm also not from the US lol 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 but what I said applies to the US as well (I think)

[–]ColdHooves 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Some places allow minors to drink on their land with parental oversight.

[–]syfyguy64 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Most states actually have that law, but it's not well known.

[–]Soup-Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the law in Washington State. (Down to age 16 that is)

[–]SweetTooth1151 points [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]JawnF 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

flashbacks to my 14th birthday, where kids thought it was a good idea to bring booze and a girl passed out on Bacardi and was taken to the red cross

Laughs in Italian Grandparent’s

They started mixing wine in my Sprite when I was 4yo. lol

[–]Tomaskraven -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

laughs in southamerican parents Every quinceañera is filled with alcohol bought by the girls parents. Every prom is filled with alcohol... bought by the school (with our money but still). US laws suck ass.

[–]rdrunner_74 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

No... That way you have access to your parents booze....

[–]iWasAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually (at least where I live), underagers are allowed to drink alcohol on their own property with parental supervision.

[–]NOSOBERCAB_NEXT 16 points17 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

She told the officers her name was McKamie Queen! Lmao

article for those interested.

[–]tibearius1123 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

McKamie Queen with her friends Rachel Starr and Sasha Grey.

[–]SeaLeggs -2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Clearly says McKamie

(Lol you changed it from McNamey)

[–]Gandeloft 20 points21 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Or move to Europe. :D

[–]goboks 7 points8 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Where the underage girls are in high school instead of college.

[–]ChodeB 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats what I love about these high school girls. I keep getting older, they stay the same age.

[–]Tomaskraven 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

and they still get drunk there

[–]kratbegone 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

She was trying to celebrate her defund police riot earlier that night and didn't think it through...

[–]occulusriftx 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Or just don't call 911 when your fake gets taken. If the bouncer doesn't call the cops you're in the clear, just leave.

[–]moeburn 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's why you don't try going to clubs and just have parties in your friends basement and get buzzed

That's not the point though. I mean I don't even like going to clubs, but for the people that do, I'm pretty sure the "getting drunk with friends" isn't the point. It's the getting dressed up and going out on the town, meeting new guys, etc.

[–]TommyRubble 260 points261 points  (16 children) | Copy Link

[–]VeteranOfDepression 31 points32 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Not Pussy Pass Denied. Just young stupidity

[–]Mr__Sampson 67 points68 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, feels like /r/WinStupidPrizes would be much more applicable, OP even but that exact phrase in the fucking title.

[–]Poliveris1 points [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

??? This sub is related to women thinking they get away with anything. Hence pussy pass denied. It has nothing to do with her being young. If you're that stupid at 18; youll be that fucking retarded your whole life.

It's about her thinking she can get away with it on the mere basis that she's a women...

[–]Crewdoyle -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

There is no evidence / suggestion anywhere that she thought that way.

[–]Poliveris1 points [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

If you're stupid enough to claim a fake ID is real to police than she 100% thought she would get away with it. Hence pussy pass denied... Bro get off the sub lol

[–]Crewdoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

She thought she would get away with it because she is a woman? Show this.

[–]rfreho 10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup, definitely the wrong sub

[–]chief89 24 points25 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

Little bit of entitlement too. Calling the police to let them know you can't get away with a crime? That's beyond young and dumb.

[–]Mecha_Derp 10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Plus drunk. Everything seems smart when drunk

[–]twiggy572 10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ve actually seen guys and girls alike having this level of entitlement back in college. The whole “do you know who I am?” Lol

[–]thelonleybagholder 30 points31 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Years ago when I was 24, a buddy of mine was dating a 20 year old. She had her cousins ID. When she showed the bouncer her ID he looks her dead in the eyes and says "How come your name plate necklace has a different name?" then tells her to leave. We didn't like her which made it extra funny.

[–]Moxdonalds 21 points22 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

With a name like “Blakelee” her parents are to blame. I wouldn’t want to be named that either

[–]FZridindirty 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You can tell they were really hoping for a son to name Blake

[–]Aibhne_Dubhghaill[🍰] 9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Most people don't realize how unbelievably forgiving bouncers are relative to what they have to deal with and how badly they could fuck up your night. Don't get me wrong, there are bad bouncers, but even the bad ones usually don't mess with people nearly as much as they could easily get away with.

Case and point: every time a bouncer just confiscates a fake ID instead of letting them take a felony.

[–][deleted] 175 points176 points  (114 children) | Copy Link

The US drinking laws are archaic.

[–]SavvySillybug 112 points113 points  (91 children) | Copy Link

As a German, agreed. I've been able to legally drink beer and wine since 16 and everything else since 18. Kids are going to do it anyway, why criminalize it? Why is 18 the legal barrier for everything ever except sipping a beer?

[–]NoctuaPavor 34 points35 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

They raised the federal smoking age to 21 in 2019 also. And weed is 21. Everything is 21 now in the US

Except the military of course

[–][deleted]  (3 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]LeafFallGround 10 points11 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Imagine being in the middle of a war torn town and not being able to even smoke a single cigarette

[–]Latin-Danzig 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Homosexuals can now openly join the military...smoke dick instead 👍

[–]tibearius1123 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

At least the cav scouts can still smoke dicks.

[–]BatemansVideotape 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Military should be 25 imho. Get a trade or education under your belt first then "serve" if you want to.

[–]Kittens-of-Terror 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Not gonna waste all those teaching hours on fodder that now better realizes that it's not indestructible.

[–]tibearius1123 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Very important to not realize your mortality before joining.

[–]sparten112233 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You actually have to be 21 for tobacco now in the states. You can join the military and potentially kill but you cannot drink alcohol or smoke a cig. What a upside down logic

[–]MxCmrn 37 points38 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

As a American I totally agree. IME it just encourages bad decisions, like excessive drinking.

[–]TheGruesomeTwosome 24 points25 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Man, as a first year university student and a very international uni, and as an RA working in first year accommodation for 4 years after, the insanity of 18 year old Americans coming here and experiencing their first pre-drinks then club night is ridiculous. Many are KO’d before they even leave the building.

All the Scottish natives have been drinking at least a little from at least like 16. I got al that shit outta my system at 15. In a serious way. I still fuck up occasionally like anyone else

[–]MxCmrn 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Me too, my family was cool with the kids drinking on holidays at 16. My cousins and I knew how to pace ourselves before we started partying in High school.

[–]madwill 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

And a Felony for this young dumb lass... that's excessive.

[–]feshak20 4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I didn't realize places have different ages for different alcohol types. Is that common in Europe? Seems like a pretty good idea.

[–]Thanatos2996 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It was that way in many states pre-NMDAA. In Colorado (IIRC) you could buy 3.2 ABV beer at 18, and everything else at 21. There were even "3.2 bars" around colleges that only stocked 3.2 beer for that clientele.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (25 children) | Copy Link

It’s 19 here in Canada. I think it should be brought down to 18 anyways. It’s so stupid. You can do porn at 18, join the military and vote but you can’t drink or smoke some weed till you’re 21 in America? So stupid.

[–]Jumpierwolf0960 9 points10 points  (16 children) | Copy Link

The logic I've seen used for 19 is that most kids graduate at 18 and you won't find many 19 year olds in a high school. So it's to prevent high schoolers from getting access to it.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Makes sense I guess. But at least it’s only 19 and not 21 like America. If I went there today then I wouldn’t be allowed to enter a bar.

[–]HalfChocolateCow 1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

And tobacco is 21 in America now too for the same "keep it out of schools" reason.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

I’ve got nothing against guns but it’s ridiculous that you can own a pistol at 18 but you can’t drink or smoke. Such dumb and outdated rules.

[–]HalfChocolateCow 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

You actually can't buy a handgun until 21 unless it's through a private seller, and then you still can't get a concealed carry permit until 21. My buddy bought his .45 at 17 (well, his dad bought it), and when he turned 18 he "bought" it from his dad and transfered it to his name. So still not impossible to buy a handgun but you can't just walk into a store and get one like you could a rifle. I agree, the whole you're an adult at 18 but you can't make your own decisions thing is dumb.

[–]Im-a-bench-AMA -1 points0 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Probably shouldn't be airing n exposing straw purchases like that on reddit for the sake of your buddy...

[–]HalfChocolateCow 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Everything he did was completely legal. His dad bought a gun, he bought it off him at 18.

[–]shawa666 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

It's 18 here. Got real drunk for the first time at 14.

[–]Jumpierwolf0960 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

It's only 18 in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba. The federal age is 19.

[–]shawa666 -1 points0 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]Jumpierwolf0960 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]shawa666 -1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Jumpierwolf0960 -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Bone-Juice 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

In my teen years here in Canada it was never even a challenge to get alcohol.

[–]LargePopsicles 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]zackplanet42 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The drinking age in many US states was actually 18 not terribly long ago. There were however increasingly worse drunk driving statistics that drove the increase to 21. I don't know that I agree with it as a decision but it did drive down teenage automobile related deaths which is certainly a positive result.

[–]cosworth99 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not criminalised. Using a fake ID is.

Also, as a German, I'd like your opinion on who is more responsible: A german 18 year old or an American 18 year old? Don't wait for the translation!

[–]SavvySillybug 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I'd say the German 18 year old, but I'm probably biased because I'm in Germany. I see German 18 year old just being normal people. Any American things I see are typically weird, funny or exciting because otherwise nobody would put it on the internet, so I only see the weirdest slice of Americans.

[–]cosworth99 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I live very close to America. To paraphrase Sarah Palin, I can actually see it out my window. American friends, dated some even.

Your view is not biased or clouded. Americans need more hand holding through puberty than the majority of the planet.

[–]Travenzen 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t know the whole story, but a lot more drunk driving deaths occurred when the drinking age was 18 they couldn’t really justified keeping it that low

[–]SavvySillybug 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Here in Germany, when you first get your license, you're judged by much tougher rules for the first two years. Absolutely 0.0% BAC for example. So every new driver knows that they must be completely sober until they make it through the first two years. So in a sense, our drunk driving age is 20.

I find that to be a much more sensible way of ensuring young drivers don't drive drunk.

[–]nosoupforyou 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Because politicians think their constituents want them to 'protect the children'.

[–]TreeChangeMe 10 points11 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

why criminalize it?

Puritanical Christian values.

They would rather punish you with a criminal record than let you sip giggle juice. Going off to war however is perfectly fine and sits well with their unsettling frame of mind.

[–]SavvySillybug 4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Christ: This wine is my blood you need to sip it

Christians: Alcohol is evil

[–]HalfChocolateCow 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not Christians as a whole though. My grandparents are conservative Lutherans, yet their children were allowed to sip wine in their early teens and drink for real not long after. Even my other grandparents, who are catholics have never had a problem with alcohol. Most Christians seem to draw the line at getting drunk rather than just drinking, as that's where it's drawn in the bible.

[–]iWasAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

In most of canada, the age is 19. Except quebec, where it's 18. I went to a casino, played texas hold 'em and had my first legal drink while I was 18 in quebec. Good times.

[–]hippyengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Because there were markedly fewer road deaths when they raised the drinking age.

Kids are gonna drink, yes, but when you create an atmosphere that condones it, to teenage Americans, you end up with more dead kids.

[–]codester3388 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Our government makes way too much money off people getting in trouble from these laws. Nobody likes change here. The world will have an apocalypse before we ever move to the metric system.

[–]Fake_Dick 4 points5 points  (14 children) | Copy Link

Playing devil’s advocate here, I’m not sure “kids are going to do it anyway” is necessarily a great justification for changing a federal law. Just a thought!

[–]mechesh 15 points16 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

It's not a federal law. It is state law. The federal government does not have the constitutional authority to create a drinking age.

In 1984 the fed passed a law reducing federal highway funding for any state that didnt raise the age to 21, so eventually all states did.

[–]TreeChangeMe 10 points11 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

So the fed can't directly create such laws but it can knee cap you into submission.

[–]mechesh 4 points5 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Pretty much yeah.

Some states held out for awhile, I think texas and alaska because oil money, but eventually they all caved.

[–]Fake_Dick 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks for the info! Learned something today

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You're welcome.

[–]fapsandnaps 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

Wisconsin hasn't fully caved, as anyone of any age may be served with the permission of a parent, guardian, or spouse of legal age.

[–]ParalyzedOlympian 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

Half true. If you're between 18 and 21 your parents can't control you and are not able to give the permission to drink. That law only works if youre under 18 and it's still up to the bar. Most bars in rural communities don't care but anything near Metropolitan areas will tell you to get the hell out.

[–]fapsandnaps 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Persons under age 21 may possess and consume alcohol beverages if they are with their parents, guardians or spouses of legal drinking age.

-Direcrtly Quoted from Wisconsin Dept of Revenue

125.07  Underage and intoxicated persons; presence on licensed premises; possession; penalties.

(1)  Alcohol beverages; restrictions relating to underage persons.

(a) Restrictions.

1. No person may procure for, sell, dispense or give away any alcohol beverages to any underage person not accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or spouse who has attained the legal drinking age.

2. No licensee or permittee may sell, vend, deal or traffic in alcohol beverages to or with any underage person not accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or spouse who has attained the legal drinking age.

-The actual Wisconsin statute.

Even if you're 19, your parent is still your parent and able to accompany you.

[–]ParalyzedOlympian 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Sure you are right but anecdotally every bar has told me to get bent when I was in that weird 18 to 20 age. I don't think that law really spells it out well since you are you're own guardian after 18. I don't know, I live in the state and I've never seen it play out like that.

[–]mechesh 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It is actually like that in many states. I think in most of them the parent has to be present.

[–]HalfChocolateCow 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Same thing they did with the national 55mph speed limit during the oil crisis.

[–]Greygooseandice 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Not sure it should be a federal law anyway.

Government doesn't grant you rights, they limit them.

[–]SultanSoSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Thanatos2996 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

The short answer is "because of MADD lobbying". Won't someone please think of the children is a very effective way to get dumb litigation passed in the US, sadly.

[–]SavvySillybug 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

From what I've heard, tucking things away in unrelated bills is also a very effective way to get dumb litigation passed.

Vote yes on No More Kitten Murder Bill! Oh and page 78 says drinking from water fountains past 8 PM is illegal. But think of the kittens!!

[–]Thanatos2996 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, that's also a favorite. The nicer a bill's name sounds, the closer you should read it.

[–]snobord 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Kids are going to do it anyway, why criminalize it?

We have a lot of rich people whose money depends on keeping prisons full. This one isn't likely to help contribute much to their pocket books but the law is there should a brown variety of her get caught.

[–]maybeitsdoomed 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Telling people to not do drugs has worked out so well over the years.

[–]moush 4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

So make it easy for teens to permanently damaged their brains? That’s the point of laws and adults to convince kids not to do stupid things.

[–]maybeitsdoomed -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree with what you're saying but we are not talking about kids, we are talking about adults.

[–]DJThomas07 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

You sound like someone who is still young. As a 31 year old, I wasn't really an adult until 25. Coincidentally, that's also the age we stop growing I believe.

[–]maybeitsdoomed 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

No I get it. I'm also 31 and I feel like I shouldn't make decisions sometimes. But the point is that we have defined being 18 years old as being adults. 18 year olds are legally adults, and should have the same freedom every other adult has. You can argue that some people are not ready for adulthood, and that's a different discussion because we cant judge people based on how developed they are after becoming adults, we all have the same rights.

I think some people shouldn't vote because they can't comprehend elections and can't think for themselves,. But I would never try to take away their right to vote just because they don't meet my qualifying expectations. If you're an adult you're an adult.

[–]NO_FIX_AUTOCORRECT 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

There are much easier ways to break drinking laws.

That's why the drinking age should be increased to 25.

Teen calls 911 when bouncer confiscates her fake ID, gets hit with a felony charge

An 18-year-old woman was arrested after she called police to complain that a bouncer at a bar had confiscated her fake ID.

Blakelee Sands — or “McKamie Queen,” according to her driver’s license — became upset when a bouncer at a bar outside Oklahoma City took the identification she’d tried using at the establishment last week, The Smoking Gun reports.

She then doubled-down on her bluff and called 911. When police arrived and checked out the phony ID, they discovered the driver’s license number on Sands’ identification card was registered to a 43-year-old man who lives in Texas.

Video posted to Tulsa, Okla., station KOTV shows police in the town of Edmond standing with Sands outside the Wolf Trap bar asking if the ID is a fake.

“No,” she answers, adding “Yeah, I’m sure,” when asked if she’s positive the ID is authentic.

Sands was arrested for using false identification to mislead a peace officer, which is a felony. A police department spokeswoman said that had Sands just cut her losses and left the ID at the bar, there would have been no charges.

[–]JayBird38 15 points16 points  (15 children) | Copy Link

Is it a felony to have a fake ID?

[–]imnotwearingany 28 points29 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Using false identification to mislead a peace officer in NY state is a felony.

[–]Easy_Floss 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Would the bouncer get into trouble as well for not reporting the crime immediately or was she just shooting her self in the leg?

[–]imnotwearingany 12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

She completely shot herself in the leg. Had she just accepted the loss and left, she’d have slept in her own bed that night. Bars are only required to confiscate fake ID’s. They’re not required to report them.

[–]jarinatorman[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Generally in the US (everything that follows assumes you are white and police in your area aren't completely corrupt dickheads) this kind of light community policing is smiled upon by the local police. Maybe not outright encouraged but this kind of 'you've committed a small crime were confiscating X illegal item, never come back or we contact the police' interaction is an important part of learning the difference between being a dumb kid and committing real crime. We can't rely on the criminal justice system to do that since it's hilariously unjust so in these smaller instances it seems relatively common to just take the id and tell the kid to fuck off with their bullshit and if they don't there will be real consequences.

The unbelievable part of the story is this girl basically got a candy coated free pass that many youths sitting in prison right now would literally kill for and she's SO FUCKING ENTITLED that she doubled down; while in the wrong, because she assumed she could manipulate the police when they arrived, because she's a manipulative little shit that apparently needed this slap down. Hopefully she learns from it.

[–]averagedude4 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Not if you use your real name. It’s not even illegal just a ticket if you use it to try to get into somewhere age restricted. The felony is identify fraud for fake name

[–]occulusriftx 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

In my state the identity fraud is if the fake is someone real, or if you're using someone else's ID. If you have a fake with a fake name like she did it's normally a charge along the lines of counterfit gov. documents. That's only if you get caught by the cops in possession of the fake id - not presenting the fake to the cops/ misrepresenting yourself to the cops. That may be different and each state is different.

[–]lxnch50 -1 points0 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Imagine trying to use a fake ID to get on a plane?

[–]DeviaI -3 points-2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]atomikplayboy 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

EDIT: Also, this girl doesn't look 18 let alone 21. No way she's getting into a bar.

[–]ExFavillaResurgemos 32 points33 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

Idk man, I don't think slapping teenagers with felonies helps anyone. Especially for simple stupidity like this. It's a fake, why is the US so punitive.

[–]mrpoolman 13 points14 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Simple stupidity? This is advanced stupidity. She called the fucking cops on herself dude.

[–]Wyntier 15 points16 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]ExFavillaResurgemos 12 points13 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I'd hope so. I wanna see stuff like "woman who stabbed bf gets xyz years in prison" and not "teenager who just happens to be female gets charged for a fake."

[–]Kittens-of-Terror 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a bigger deal that she lied to police officers to get them to do something illegal for her... which was getting her fake back that she said was her.

[–]iWasAwesome 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Fraudulent government identification. Fraud has always been serious, but trying to fraud government identification...

[–]paycadicc 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I’d agree but she literally called the cops on herself. This is as stupid as stupid gets. Taking someone’s fake and keeping it is a dick move, but you just have to cut your losses. Almost all fakes come with a duplicate for times like this.

[–]NO_FIX_AUTOCORRECT 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Idk, i think teenagers that commit felonies should be charged for them. There's nuance in law though, a judge can decide if she should be fully penalized for this.

[–]Infinite_M0nkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Owning firearms is the least of your concerns.

Having a felony on your record completely bars you from many forms of government employment, and makes it nearly impossible to enter most professional careers or higher learning.

A teenager in my region committed suicide after being charged with a felony, as it lost him the military career he'd dreamed of for years.

[–]saxGirl69 31 points32 points  (37 children) | Copy Link

felony charges for a fake id to go drinking at 18? Do you really think this girls entire life should be ruined because she did a dumb, harmless thing as a teenager?

[–]channel4newsman 22 points23 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Using a fake ID is definitely a dumb teenager thing. Having your fake ID get confiscated, then calling the cops, and lying to them because you thought you could get away with it is totally different. The amount of audacity and entitlement it takes to make those mistakes is mind blowing to me. And her not suffering serious consequences for this only enables that incredibly terrible behavior. This goes past the line of dumb teenager shit and goes into the area of actual criminal shit. I personally hope they throw the book at her. I've known so many people who have had fake Id's taken from them and not a single one was ever entitled enough to call the cops on the establishment.

Edit: Also the felony was for using a fake ID to mislead police officers. Which wouldn't have happened if she didn't call the cops in the first place. So yeah, I hope she pays the price for that stupidity.

[–]Uxt7 -1 points0 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

I too hope she pays the price for the rest of her life because she lied to the police so she could drink.

[–]DropKletterworks 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

She didn't lie so she could drink. She lied to get her fake ID back and to punish the establishment that took her ID.

[–]channel4newsman 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]lxnch50 23 points24 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Fake ID use isn't a joke ever since 9/11. Also, the bar was probably just going to toss it into a pile of fakes and laugh about it. She did it to herself by calling 911.

[–]TruthPlenty 13 points14 points  (20 children) | Copy Link

No, she got a felony charge for trying to mislead an officer. They asked her if the ID was legitimate and see said yes.

[–]WildBizzy 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Still not worth ruining a teenagers life over

[–]TruthPlenty 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

And other less worse crimes are? She lied about her identity to an officer, I don’t think people here understand just how serious of a problem that is.

What is it with people defending somewhat pretty white girls? If this was a POC this would be a different conversation entirely.

[–]Wyntier 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

She just got charged. They could've been dropped or reduced. In fact, they probably were

[–]averagedude4 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

She made the mistake of using a fake name on a fake ID. It’s not a felony if you use your real name.

[–]Cavendishelous 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah mine always had my real name and I never got in trouble.

I even spent a few days in jail, they went through my wallet, saw the ID, never said anything about it lol. I think they thought it was real. When I got my wallet back it was in there same as before.

Also got one taken away at a bar, well twice actually at two different bars, never got in trouble. Police were never called.

Booked multiple hotel rooms with my ID, did a lot of drinking on the strip, went to a lot of bars, met my current girlfriend at age 20 in the bar actually.

It’s funny how easy it was to get away with all of that.

[–]MrStealYurWaifu 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I used to be a bouncer, I found plenty of fake IDs that the bar would overlook, but they told us that is faking a legal document and that is a felony.

[–]mrpoolman 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem here is lying to the police about it.

[–]Appletree286 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]HellsFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think this belongs here she’s not using the fact that she’s a woman anywhere to try and get away with her wrong doings. This is straight up her being an idiot. SMH this subs lost its meaning

[–]Big_H_Cheese 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

How is it a teen if they're 18

[–]Mingura666 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

A friend of mine told me that “you’re only a teenager if the world ‘teen’ is in your age”. From thir”teen” to nine”teen”. Kind of makes sense.

[–]Big_H_Cheese 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

sure but legally you are an adult at 18

[–]Ahosewithnoname 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Clue's in the second syllable

[–]SC2samspends too much time spreading u/tmone 's ass cheeks apart 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

What kind of name is that? Why don't people have normal names anymore? Why give you daughter two guy names smashed together?

[–]SkaiDuskpaw 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

With a name like that I kinda get it

[–]Tackle_History 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I live stupid people. They provide great examples when we try to explain things to our kids.

[–]9th-man 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Kid: Dad, what does it mean "stupid idea". Dad: well son...

Yes we always need more material to tell our kids.

[–]DeanTheSkip 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought the border was her legs at forst glance..... Disapointment quickly set in

[–]SageBus 12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"Excuse me operator, but I'm a woman, I am supposed to get away with shit"

[–]amazingoomoo 5 points6 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

This is not pussy pass just because she’s a girl. It has to be related.

[–]Poliveris1 points [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

If she's fucking stupid enough to lie to police after already having her ID confiscated then yes she also believes she had the privilege to get out of it.. They go hand in hand

[–]amazingoomoo 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

The privilege yes, but that’s nothing to do with being a woman. A man could have done the same thing.

[–]Poliveris1 points [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

This sub is literally for entitled women... Go make one for men then... Like??? Okay??? Still she thought she could get away with it. And yes it has everything to do with her thinking she had the privilege to get away with it...

[–]amazingoomoo 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

No. It’s a sub for women using their “pussy pass”. It’s about women using their gender as an entitlement and getting denied. This isn’t that. Go away little incel.

Edit: for the dick who deleted his comment after posting it

Again. One more time for the fucking morons not listening or understanding. I will say it again.

Being entitled for any reason is not a reason to post on this sub. The entitlement has to come from having a pussy hence the name.

I cannot spell this out any more simply for you. It’s like talking to a wall.

I will try again anyway.

Woman use vagina to get away with things. Woman caught. Post it here.

Woman use wealth/employment/relatives to get away with things. Woman caught. Don’t post it here.

If in the article the woman claimed she should be allowed in anyway because she’s a woman that’s her using her pussy pass.

If the woman tried to use a fake ID and was arrested, that’s not her using a pussy pass, that’s her using a fake ID... it’s literally in the title.

It hurts having to lower myself to your level of intellect to try and explain usually simple concepts. I can’t do it any more, my brain has started to turn to sludge and run out of my nose.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol how much more entitled could some be 😂

[–]crushedredpartycups 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

future karen for sure

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Lmao, what a moron.

[–]peta_pipa 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Considering this happens to men all the time this sub continues to go with the theme that they just don’t like women because they are women

[–]B00TYMASTER 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure her and her family will look back and laugh at this one day

[–]mccoyeherold2111 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey good on her for doubling down on her bluff, but chances are if the bouncer can spot it’s a fake, the cops will too.

[–]FamousJackOfDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

That is just plain dumbassery

[–]SackedStig 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow, both her fake name and her real name are ridiculous.

[–]EnIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fake ids are now a Federal crime, iirc.

[–]reaperofsquirrels 26 points27 points  (27 children) | Copy Link

I understand her actions are stupid given the laws.

I am going to say it is also stupid as Fuck she can get a felony as an adult for trying to have a beverage.

[–]lamelobster71127 38 points39 points  (17 children) | Copy Link

I think the felony is for possession of a fake ID

[–]chaserne1 31 points32 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

Not even possession, the cops even tried giving her an out but she doubled down on the lie. That's why she got the felony.

[–]Bodach421 points [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

Given the situation it seems a failure of the police officer to not say "You will be charged with a felony if you lie to me again and a possible 3 year jail sentence so again is this your ID?"

Especially when it's a kid just trying to get some alcohol It seems like American cops are just trying to punish people instead of keep the peace.

[–]TruthPlenty 3 points4 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

That’s not the officers job. She knew the ID was fake and lied to the officer.

[–]thefudmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup

[–]Jelly_McPeanutbutter 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

FTA: "A police department spokeswoman said that had Sands just cut her losses and left the ID at the bar, there would have been no charges."

[–]Iamlegend_future 8 points9 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

Laws are weird sometimes. Like an 18 year old in America can sign up to be shot at in war but a drink is too dangerous. They could be getting deployed in a week and still technically be charged if they try taking a shot of rum but a bullet or bombs are fine.

[–]MxCmrn 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, more US soldiers died in drunk driving accidents during OIF and OEF than in combat. But I do agree with your point.

[–]the_big_cheef 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Source?

[–]reaperofsquirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh I know. I started my time before I was 21. I think it is horseshit.

[–]saxGirl69 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

an 18 year old can be told you're going to war even if you don't want to forget about volunteering to sign up lol

[–]Iamlegend_future -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess saying signing up makes it sound like a choice. I was referring to selective service. Which males have to do at 18 but can't have a drink for another 3 years. If you are legally an adult then you should be free to do anything an adult can do.

[–]iWasAwesome 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fraudulent anything has always been a serious law. Fraudulent government identification... They ain't going easy on that.

[–]OiYouOutMyTrash 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

BlakeLee sands? What is it with a lot of Americans and weird ass names Plus you should be able to go out at 18 what a stupid rule

[–]TransposedApophenia 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe we should just lower the drinking age already

[–]antipiracylaws 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

"Do you know who my dad is?!'

[–]insubordinate_af 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]unknown_person243 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Alkuam 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Is her head crooked?

[–]blazinazn007 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Why are people going to a bar during a pandemic?!?!

[–]Poliveris 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn't it weird how when you go to the store or anywhere really and the young adult women refuse to wear masks?

It's literally illegal where I live but these bitches out here are so fucking dirty. It's kinda like how the women's bathroom is always 100x dirtier than the men's.

I guess women think the privilege also applies to their health and hygiene.

[–]morencychad 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"McKamie Queen" sounds like an intentional take on "McLOVIN"

[–]Stardust_of_Ziggy 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Fvck_kpop 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]schrono 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why confiscate a fake ID? You checked it and it looked real, all of us went clubbing with fake IDs when we were 16 in Germany.

[–]TheNightCaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

For non US people, what's the outcome of a felony charge

[–]Krogg 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I worked as a bouncer at a local downtown club for a while years ago and those at the door would get shit like this all the time. We were paid $10 per ID to keep fake IDs. We would constantly get yelled at to give it back to them and each time we would tell them:

"There's an officer right over there. Go get him and when they verify this ID as being real, we will give it to you."

Officers routinely stood close because of city hall being so close, DUI arrests being popular there, and to keep the peace. Out of the 14 months I worked there, I had 1 person actually go get an officer and that was the only time, that I know of, that the ID I thought was fake, ended up being real.

[–]MateuszMartyni 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Honestly if I was the dad of this kid I’d laugh and mid laugh I’d say “you’re so fucking grounded”.

[–]johnny121b -2 points-1 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Not once you realized they're hanging a felony around her neck, and she'll be living with you for an extra decade AND faces a lifetime of lower potential because of it.

[–]MateuszMartyni 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That would be her fault and I’d do my best for her to have a good life with whatever opportunities she has left. It’s called being a supportive parent.

[–]Put_It_All_On_Blck 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Glad she is getting charged but I don't think this situation exact situation should give her a felony charge regardless of gender. Hope she is offered a plea deal for a misdemeanor and community service.

[–]Antiqas86 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's justice served, but not pussypass denied.

[–]Illusion740 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ll sell it back to you for $100

[–]pavlovslog 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why am I not surprised "Blakelee" actually thought she could call the cops for this lol.

[–]hamishjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

"Yes, officer. This is the guy who was impeding my attempt to break the law. I'd recognize him anywhere."

[–]ramsey17 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Many years ago went to bar with my brother and his then future wife. She was a hair dresser at the time and changed her often. Anyway the bouncer took her id and was going to let us in. It was her actual id. My brother went to the two cops standing out front of the bar who refused to do anything about it. As my brother walked away he called them dicks. They arrested him for drunk and disorderly. He had 3 beer and was a little buzzed only. My dad and him along with Now sister in-law went to the bar the next day to get the id they “lost it” cops still wouldn’t do anything

[–]Twink4Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

How are people this dumb?

[–]EdgHG 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This reminds of an episode of Cops that I saw long ago where a woman called the cops because she was not given the crack that she paid a drug dealer for.

[–]ReallyCouldBeAnybody 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

getting ur fake confiscated is infuriating because you’re ABOUT to have a good time and suddenly you’re powerless and embarrassed

[–]Roadrunner571 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

In which shithole country people get arrested for showing a fake ID to a bouncer?

[–]highwayrobberyman 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

A felony charge? What would the charge be? And why so severe?

[–]RyanH2796 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

She’s a minor, why is her name not kept from the public? Oh she’s legally an adult? Why the fuck does she have to wait 3 more years to buy alcohol?

[–]pghcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

McLovin

[–]Living_Shadows 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This doesn't really belong in this sub.

[–]Huko 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is instructed to keep fake licenses etc. Even your cashier at Walmart will take it and not give it back

[–]armitageskanks69 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]MoonWandering 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]dababyyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]02201970a 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]shamblam117 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Loved taking fake IDs as a bouncer. Legally I wasn't supposed to, but not a single person called the cops when I told them to do so.

[–]grizzlyblake91 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course my hometown makes national news...for something so idiotic and stupid. Stay classy, Edmond.

[–]-Listening 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's because you're supposed to let her win or something?

[–]Roary93 3 points4 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Absolute idiot. Knows she's committing a felony but thinks that won't matter 😂

[–][deleted]  (7 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]Noob_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Trying to defraud the government is obviously a felony...

[–]Roary93 -1 points0 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

How? You’re trying to get into a place that has age restrictions by using false and fraudulent measures that could hurt the business if something happens. I’d say the vast majority know it’s against the law

[–]PaiMeiSoHorny 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Probably because felonies are usually things of a heinous nature like murder and armed robbery and such. Having a fake ID just doesn't quite sound like those other things.

[–]Noob_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The felony is for attempting to mislead a peace officer with false identification.

[–]Hinkil 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

She was actually arrested because she used false id with the police officer and still claimed it was real. Trying to mislead a peace officer with fake ID is the charge

[–]TipMeinBATtokens 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I had someone try to tell me my real I.D. was fake and refuse to sell to me for it. So I called their bluff and told them to either call the cops like they were supposed to do or call their manager.

The manager took one look at my very real I.D. and pulled her aside to have a discussion with. Her issue was it showed my height in inches instead of feet and inches on the military I.D.

She actually said, "This says you're 70 feet tall!"

It said inches that dumb bitch.

[–]UbiquitousWobbegong 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Man, I really hope that doesn't stick. Can you imagine being convicted of a felony for something so minor? This is just stupid kid shit that everyone does to some extent.

Felony charges are no joke.

Is it common for bouncers to take IDs they suspect are fake? I thought places just turned them away without confiscating on the off chance it’s actually a real ID so they don’t catch hell for taking it.

[–]ButterAndPaint 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

You are mean.

[–]Jalsavrah 1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

She's an 18 year old woman, she should be able to use her actual ID.

[–]thekarmabum 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

You have to be 21+ to drink in the US. MADD lobbied the crap out of the government and the only way states can get federal funding for roads is if they have a 21+ legal age to consume alcohol.

[–]Jalsavrah -1 points0 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

She is an 18 year old woman and should be able to use her actual ID. It's not her fault she comes from such a joke nation.

[–]thekarmabum 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, if your old enough to die for your country you should be old enough to get a beer, but the law is the law.

[–]xXIronSausageXxx 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Likely United States. One must be 21 years old to procure alcoholic beverages here.

[–]Guttermouth11111 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

You can be old enough for a felony charge while not being seen as grown up enough for a drink? Seems a bit silly

[–]jaywinner 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

They can also give you a gun and tell you to go shoot people but you still can't have a beer.

[–]Djehbruh 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Why was an 18 year old using a fake i.d, seems a bit weird
