Travel For Work - Texting game tips?

I am reading that most RP men recommend texting only for logistics when single, and I can understand even keeping texting to a minimum when married. But I travel for work about 80% of the time. Text messages are often the primary way I have to communicate with my wife while I’m traveling and she’s working/taking care of the kids.

You're missing the point here.

The "rules of RP" such as "texting for logistics only" and "minimize texting" are mainly to help unattractive men stop sabotaging themselves by being too needy over text and decreasing any potential attraction before they meet in person. For example, you'll often see needy men hanging on her every word like some middle school girl speculating if a boy likes her or not and then texting back 3, 4, or 5 times before he even responds.

If you're great at expressing your personality and teasing your wife over text then go for it. I personally texted my wife everyday while we were dating, in relationship, engaged, and still even when we're married.

Fun - I was just planning on employing texting game today, so this is in good timing. This is probably better done as a "Married Man Game: Part 3" post, so I'll put my response up separately. Suffice it to say, for your purposes, that the traditional RP advice about texting doesn't apply the same way to LDRs, which are discounted almost entirely in a pre-marriage context. If you're forced into a short-term LDR post-marriage, there's certainly viability in texting for more than just logistics.

The context and reason for texting is the key I think. When you are dating, women try to get their feelz and validation from texting. This reduces her need to see him in person where he can work his game and kino. Also, most men are terrible at texting in general, so it's best to be mysterious instead of disappointing.

For the married man, it also gives woman feelz, but it serves a different purpose. While I am away, I am flirting and teasing my wife so that she isn't feeling alone and neglected. We are all Christians here, but let's be honest, adultery still happens in the church. Keeping her mind on you keeps her mind off of other people. I am not suggesting "mate guarding" per se, but she has a hamster right? I like to think of a good text like using a laser pointer to give her hamster something to chase. Keeps her from getting bored and lonely.

I travel for work to a lot of trade shows which has me all over the USA and Europe and I keep texting while I am at home to a minimum. When I am away, I step up the text game quite a bit and we both enjoy it a lot. I write in a pretty thought out way, especially with her. I am concise, deliberate, methodical, and goal oriented. I challenge myself to entice her to do things that are out of her comfort zone in less than 10 messages. Nude pics were unheard of from her just 3 years ago, not even to be on her phone. Well, now that's changed and I am always pushing the envelope. She knows it's coming too and she doesn't outwardly admit it, but she looks forward to it too. Even if I ask something she won't do, she's contemplating it for hours until I reach out again and occasionally changes her mind on the next session or will surprise me with the pics when I am not expecting them.

I rarely have time for a full phone call and besides, who does that anymore? So, I am in her mind. I don't send pics back to her except a normal selfie in front of some touristy thing because that's not what she wants from me.

Sounds crazy, but she WANTS to miss me and she WANTS to be missed. So, that's the drama that I play out with her. I used to go radio silent at times but that's not good at all, I'd always come home to a wife that would be mad for a whole week. Other times I would "check in" with her on the phone every night to let her know I wasn't being shady and that's also not good either with is BP and I cringe thinking about it now.
