You have presented the question as an either/or choice. The true answer is probably, "It is a hell of a lot more complicated than that and we are far from having all the answers".

The good news is that doesn't matter. You don't need to know the why to deal with the what. Practical experience in understanding how to deal with women will take you a lot farther, a lot faster, than theory.

it's because of evolution, men always had to stick together and chase and hunt the wooly mammoths and had to be cold, reasonable and rational, they had to control their fear and emotions, meanwhile women didn't have to do that so they just learned to be social instead of rational, it's wiring in the brain

Women's minds gravitate to special attention and innocence in all situations. Their minds have always been like this. That's why they are more selfish, more capable of manipulation, get baby fever, are dramatic, lack accountability, are extra sweet and loving, are hypergamous, among other things. It's biology. Like a lion gravitating towards social life while a tiger gravitates towards isolation. The male homo sapien is the most mentally adaptable, logical, sociopathic creature to ever walk on planet earth.
