What's it about?
The journey of Neill Strauss into the (back then) club of pick-up artists helped by his mentor Mistery
Who's it for?
This book is best suited for those who are at least above average in their real dating/social life (i'm not talking about theories here). Most people who read it are all beginners and can't put in context this book.
PROS
+A great modern "heroes journey" that most men wish to make. The protagonist goes from completely clueless to pretty good (considering results not methods) in the dating game. +it's credible, makes you understand that it's possible to change yourself
+easy to understand,writing style is quite good
+for the experienced and observant, it's an excellent reflection to why and how seduction works.
+it may show a beginner a way to start improving himself
CONS
-Even if it's possible to get started with the game, it would be ideal to skip this step and go into something more realistic. -Many things learnt must be forgotten later if one wishes to improve further than the tricks and shortcuts it advocates -The seduction and mentality is pretty weak, quite damaging in the wrong hands. It shows reliance on superficial methods than real change.
Final thoughts
The game is how many people first hear about seduction.For many it's an excellent way to start, but some make the mistake of thinking it's useful in the long run. Someone with more knowledge and real life experience might learn a lot more about the circumstances and rationalizations of the characters than the actual story being told.
Rating(for inexperienced readers): 2/5-Really good to showing that improvement is possible
Rating(for experienced readers) : 4/5-A very interesting glimpse into a pivotal book on male self improvement.

Having read it, I'd say it's best if you get better material. The book is well written and draws you in, but it's primarily a story, a narration; it won't teach you to pick up girls, or even RP material, though if you come from a mostly BP life, it might be the beginning of seeing things without pink-tinted glasses, but there are so many better sources than this.

And if you're even remotely experienced, it won't help you one bit.

Skip this unless you're just looking for an interesting story.
