I think you should instead spend as much time with him as you can and try to instill your values. Books don't really help at that age, and he will look up to you more than he will to a few pages.

Ever see Boyz n the Hood? It's about a kid who lives with his mom but soon she can't and drops him off with his dad. His dad gives him some pretty good advice about being a man.

I think sometimes we just have to sit down, squat down, or otherwise lower ourselves so we are face to face and look our kids in the eye and talk about a few things.

I tell my 7 year old he has a choice in his attitude. He keeps saying he doesn't want to go back to school. I tell him he can decide to try to like school and learn cool stuff, or he can be grumpy and miserable at school, which would he rather do?

I tell him, as a man, we need to be able to do things that others don't want to do. Take out the trash, fix things, work on cars, stuff like that. I show him and get him to help me a little.

I've told him to be careful with girls because we are much stronger than them and can hurt them accidentally. Also, never hug, kiss, or touch them if they don't want it.

I also get him to exercise as much as possible. I take him to the park 2-3 times a week for hours. There is a little fad going on for parkour so he started watching youtube videos about it. Closest thing I could find locally was gymnastics class so he's learning to flip and climb ropes and vault and rings and all that stuff.

He says he wants to get abs so I explain that he needs to eat less then. Instead of 2 bowls of spaghetti for dinner, he should only eat one. He should stop eating candy and cookies and such. I make sure he eats some high protein food every day and drinks a glass of milk.

I wouldn't call this stuff redpill, but I would say that I am thinking about what he can do now and what habits he can start building to become a stronger man someday.

You should not red pill your son that is not your job as a parent. I believe as a parent and so should you if you are a good parent that you should raise your son in a safe accepting place and not push any political preferences onto him at the age of 9. Maybe when he is older and able to understand such concepts, have a good discussion with him but allow him to formulate his own opinions.

I understand this may be hard as you said if the current situation is true that he is being brainwashed by his mother.

Less words and more actions. I believe kids should have more social experience (safely) and less lecture. When they do have a problem (conflict or such) then you provide some guidance.
