Except for the "beautiful face" part. Men definitely care about beauty.

Definitely. But from what I've seen, men are more than willing to lower their standards on the face and go for a plain-er looking girl who is sweeter and fit, rather than a preetier girl who's less fit or less nice

I think the face thing is true. When I go out with friends I notice that it is the ones with the fit bodies that get all of the looks, even when they are plain in the face. I have been told that a doll-like face. A lot of people compliment me on it. But if I am next to one of my friends who has a nice body (I am slightly overweight), it is like I am invisible. For men, faces are definitely secondary to fit bodies in my experience.

My problem with the long silky hair is it makes it seem that men don’t like other form of hair. Not everybody has long straight hair or can obtain it. But true men like healthy women.

natural hair can be beautiful and shiny too!

The tweet mentions long and shiny. That is definitely attainable for all hair types if you take good care of it

I just felt that way while looking at this picture and a lot of times in other pro feminine groups(subreddits, youtube channels, etc). Its always the "white feminine eith long straight hair" that is being promoted as the most feminine or desirable. It would be nice to see women with other texture of hair (4c hair, afro, curly...).

Every time I go to the hairdresser I joke with my husband that "ohh I was thinking I might just chop it off, get one of those cute pixie cuts, you know? And you're not attached to me being a blonde, right?"
Gets him every time :P

Curse the gods for giving me the thin hair

What's your hair care routine?
[–]anna12931 point2 points3 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
Well right now I let them hang because I have stopped caring, but if I want to look good I bleach it because it looks better/less stringy when it's very blonde. If it's a special occasion I'll put in hair extensions, I was thinking of getting tape in hair extensions when I start dating. It stays put for 4-6 weeks, you treat it like regular hair and then you swap it. It's kind of expensive though and I'm not sure if men would be put off by it. My fashion icon uses them:

But honestly right now I just use generic shampoo/conditioner, air-dry it, and keep a brush in my purse whenever they get tangled. But it is definitely neither long or shiny.

Well there's your issue! You have to take care of it. Invest in a good shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner/treatment mask, and moisturizer. Your hair will definitely thank you.
I totally get the extensions though, I always have my natural hair in some form of protective style (usually braids).

Yeah you are right, I should really start taking care of my hair again. It's so central to attraction.
Braids are great, classier than a ponytail but not that much more complicated :)
