The book is Buddhism for Mothers of Young Children - becoming a mindful parent, by Sarah Napthali. I'm only a few chapters in but so far it's a very good book.

Thank you for sharing! Good stuff. I have historically tended toward interpreting things in a negative light or thinking the worst, but it makes a big difference to know that we actually have the power to interpret things differently. It really illustrates the shift, to me, from a victim mentality to that of empowerment. What a difference it has made in my marriage!

This is very true! I find that I have to leave many Facebook groups because of this phenomenon. On Facebook women are validated for every feeling and are hardly every encouraged or challenged to rethink the situation.
