I think it's a girl, but hoping for a boy. Seems like it would be better to have an older brother than a sister. Then again, it would be the first girl grandchild on both sides of the family, and my MIL only had sons - so a girl would be very welcome!

My favorite girl names are Katherine, Ava, and Emeline. I don't really have favorite boy names yet, they don't seem as fun to pick (but we do have a little list). Damien is probably my least favorite name - wasn't that the name of the demon child in those scary movies?

I'd have to see your belly to make an educated guess. I've never been wrong. But I will say it is a girl.

I didn't care what my child was so long as my child was healthy. There were a couple of health scares so the gender really didn't matter.

Favorite boy name: Maurice

Favorite girl name: Aurora

Least favorite boy name: anything aiden, jaden, caden etc

Least favorite girl name: Britnney I dunno why.

Ooh, I'm going to guess boy, just because!

My favourite girl's names are: Isla, Catherine and Chloe, and for boys Stuart, Philip and George. We made a really long list for girls when we were choosing and I had like 20 girls names, but not as many boy names, like you say maybe they are less fun to pick!

That's a pretty name. We have Ava and Eva on the list as well. The shorter names ending with -a all have a nice sound to them.

YAY!!!!! I think you're having a boy first (or at least I really really hope it's a boy) and I also want to have a boy first. When it comes to names, I prefer older, traditional, and Western but not too common. All the boy names I was previously a fan of I don't like anymore, but the girl names I'm really liking are Elise, Beatrice, and Sloane.

Yay! Just thought of a boy's name that I like and would name my son - Sawyer. All the other names I liked M said were gay or dumb so he probably won't like this one either haha

haha love the update. I said if I ever had anymore kids we would name them something ridiculous because it would never happen and they would be miracle babies. Goku and Apostolica. Boy and girl respectively. Also, Sawyer was one of the characters from lost. his shoulders were weird so I concur with M. :D

Congrats :-) Took me so freaking long to get pregnant I didn't so much care. In any case, it's a boy and he needs to stop shoving on my cervix right now if I have any hope of making it through the walk to work today. Husband and I are both the oldest in our families, so I can see the upsides of either being the oldest. Name choice has been an issue (different country/language between his side of the family and mine - we're trying to limit it to things both sides can say and letters that can easily go on either set of documents), but we have a few options.

I was once told that if you feel pretty ill during your pregnancy it's a boy, if you feel OK it's a girl. It's held true in my family.

My friend is super preggers right now and is naming the baby Madison. However, not with that spelling. They haven't agreed to how to spell it yet. So whenever I text her to ask how she's doing I always exaggerate the name and add more letters to it. haha. Right now we are at Madyssynne. You just reminded me about that. haha

Haha, we'll see! I'm not sure my instinct is right, because the website I use to look at the pregnancy week-by-week is always using female pronouns. Might have gotten it in my head that way.

We love the Celtic/Welsh names as well. One of the girl names on the list is Coira, and for a boy Brennan.

Congrats! I'm a little over a month from having my first! I was hoping for a boy, but also had a feeling it was a boy. Was very glad I was right!

Names I love for boys: Ethan, Liam, Evan, Samuel

For girls: Katherine/Kathryn, Charlotte, Avery

Enjoy this special time! When we found out it was a boy, I celebrated with the beefiest, cheesiest cheesesteak I could find :)

For food cravings it's mainly been carb type foods and red meat. The whole pickle craving thing lasted for like a week, then I was over it.

my husband would definitely be more in his element with a boy, doing boy stuff together.

Yeah, this would be nice. :) My husband would love to have a little Daddy's girl, so a girl would be nice as well.
