Dear Stingray,
Stay on the ball this year.
When it comes time to can, grab the kids and get it done. Yes, it's a long day, but when all of that stuff is put away and you see all that food on your shelf you are going to be so happy.

You're getting bees!? That's amazing & totally a goal of mine!

Dear Dixie,
Things seem tough right now, but don't they always? It's okay, you've got this.
You've been doing a great job of practicing more - keep it up! Let's increase the practice time another hour and knock off an hour of internet time. If you do this, you can take a day trip to the shop with the cheap sheet music in Quincy.
You resolved to do more biking this year, so do it. Don't complain when you fall down - and drink more water before and during rides so you're more alert, you'll fall less!
Keep up the ice skating - that's going to be a really, really good hobby to work on during those really hot summer days. If you keep this up, you can buy some of those really cute rhinestone-studded warm-ups. :)
Let's get all the credit cards paid off by the end of the year so we can work on the down payment for the new house.
Walk the dog more. You know you'll both appreciate it, there's no excuse not to.
Either get over being burnt out with your job or figure something else out, because this isn't do you or anyone else any favors.
Instead of scrolling through Facebook and Reddit in bed before you fall asleep, read a book instead.

Hey, you, six month old Tryin2beBetrThanB4, this is your past self. The one who is trying to help you get on track right now. So let's stop trying to be better, and actually become better! You got six months, that's a lot of time. Get to it. This is where you should be
Goals:
Get that weight to 110lb. (Come on, you've already lost 35lbs, you are at a healthy weight let's finish it, that's only 13lbs more to go.)
Follow the cleaning chart I made. (The house looks decent, but it can be sooo much better. You know Hubbs will love you more for it. The chart breaks it down into manageable work, get off your phone and do it)
Run. (You better have finished that 10k program from start to finish. You keep thinking you're better than the app and try to skip weeks and up hurting yourself or forgetting the app, doing your own thing and not make any progress... Stop it. Seriously. Do it in order. You will thank me.)
Your biggest flaw is that your ADHD is not under control. You thought it was and you were just quirky and different but loving friends have recently pointed out that it's not. It's becoming a real problem. You are gonna be 24 this freakin year. You are not in order. You are messing up everywhere and it's putting a huge strain with friends, people you work with and most importantly, your relationship with your husband. He is having to pick up your slack and it is stressing him out to his limit. It's time you look up focusing techniques and finally see a doc about getting on something. You can't keep this up. Fix your brain. Or you'll never be able to to accomplish any of the goals you have set. You never have.
Let this be the year you finally get your crap together.
Last bullet point: de lurk more often!
Welcome and if you do have the free time, I hope you comment more. We love getting new people here.

Hey Mabs!
I’m sitting in front of my crystal ball, and here’s what I’m seeing:
You’ve either gone running, done yoga, or meditated for five (or more!) minutes every single day so far this year. And you feel and look great (which you know, because that man of yours can’t keep his hands off your butt – what else is new?). Attagirl.
You have a new 50K PR in the bag! You smashed across that finish line in under six hours thanks to months of speedwork, hill repeats, core, and long runs with your buddies, and I am so proud of you.
Speaking of your buddies, you and the Ladies Who Lunch are continuing to prioritize time together. You’ve cross-stitched a number of things, cooked delicious foods for each other, and possibly taken that tap dancing class you’ve been talking about! These women make you feel creative, feminine, lively, vibrant, and oh so very happy, and your man notices!
What’s the most delicious thing you’ve made for your man recently? Can’t pick just one? Good girl. You’re doing it right! You’re so lucky to have found such a smart, driven, caring, funny, handsome man! Keep cooking up good things for him. He has athletic goals too, and you can support them by keeping him well fed (and gratuitously squeezing his biceps, which you know he loves).
I can’t wait to hear about the cool trip(s) you two took this spring! Remember how well your travels go when you let him take the lead? Keep that up, Mabs. Also: vacation sex. The dude loves it.
Look how big of a dent you’ve made in your debt! Those monthly payments sure are making a difference!
Look how beautifully organized your pantry and your bathroom closet are! What’s your next homemaking project? Pick a few – you know how much you love it when your home feels so cozy! Maybe it’s time to tackle that gallery wall you’ve been dreaming of.
Look how great your skin looks now that you’ve got that awesome new facial routine!
Keep it up, girl.
Love, Mabs

Please share (:
I wrote up a comment... went to edit it... And accidentally deleted it! Womp womp lol.
Okay so in the morning I just rinse with water and slap on some sunscreen with moisturizer. I like CeraVe but I have a few different ones I'm trying.
At bedtime:
Wash with CeraVe hydrating cleanser, either in the shower or at the sink.
Apply Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliating liquid. Let sit for 20-25 minutes.
Moisturize! It's been very cold and dry where I live, and my skin loves straight-up Vaseline. Once the weather chills the eff out, I'll switch back to CeraVe in the tub, but for now, I go to bed wifh a shiny, sticky face, my skin slurps it up overnight, and i wake up with dewy, happy skin!
Planning to add mineral oil massage to this at some point.

Dear future me,
By the time you're reading this (again) you will know what you'll be doing for the next 4-6 years. Remember how much you've been worrying about the future? That didn't help you in any way, did it? Try to keep that in mind next time you're losing sleep over something you cannot control either way.
If everything happens the way you want it to happen you'll be planning the interior of your new home by now and you'll be enjoying your early summer holiday. Before then there are some things you should do.
Make sure you've lost some of the last bit of weight you wanted to get rid of. You should have been able to have lost at least 10 lbs in the past 6 months. I don't think you'll get all 20 lbs off, but you can always try.
You'll know if you get into the art academy about a week after this letter is written. If you are accepted: start planning ahead. Make a list of all the essentials you'll need to buy before moving out and then start saving money or start buying things on that list.
Convince your SO to get a cat with you, preferably before the two of you move in together so you can pick up a kitty on the way to your new home. Bonus: convince him to get a cat from a shelter rather than a kitten, because shelter cats can be amazing too.
Start cooking more often, because you're gonna have to do it every night once you move out. Until then your mother will appreciate not having to worry about dinner as often. The same thing applies to cleaning.
Start sewing again. You enjoy doing it and it'll get you some clothes that fit perfectly.
Start reading again during the summer holidays. And pick up a non fiction book every once in a while.
Write whenever you feel inspired. Maybe consider starting your own blog.
Don't try to get a job if you're going to the art academy. Days there frequently last from 9am to 9 pm (don't try to tell yourself it won't be that bad, because multiple people have told you that it is that bad) I know you worry about money, but that's what student loans are for.
If you really want an additional source of income try to look for a job as a freelance writer, designer or visual artist. You enjoy doing those things and you can work from home doing them.
Good luck! See you in 6 months.
PS Remember when you thought that things weren't going to change (for the better) in 2015? You met an amazing man and made many new friends. Or when you thought your SO's uncle was being stupid when he said 2016 was going to be your SO's and your year? Well, he was right. A lot of great things have happened and you've grown so much as a person. So, please, have some faith; good things are going to happen to you this year. Maybe you won't get the things you were hoping for, but there will be good things nonetheless.
Convince your SO to get a cat with you
Does this seem like a good goal to you?
My SO and I both have parents who have been keeping pets for as long as we can remember, and he actually thinks a home isn't truly complete without a pet. So although it isn't a good goal in that sense, getting a pet is definitely something that's somewhat important to us (both of us, not just me, we've actually talked about this since we first started to consider moving in together).
I do need to add that "convincing" my SO might have been a bad choice of words. It's more like mentioning it the next time we talk about pets and figuring out the pros and cons, then he will decide whether he wants a cat too or not.
I do need to add that "convincing" my SO might have been a bad choice of words.
That was definitely the yellow flag haha. I read it like "girl if he doesn't want a cat and you do, and you have to convince him...ya might be in the wrong sub" lol.
Trust me, I am with you all the way haha. I want a dog sooo badly, my SO had to ask me to stop talking about it. I definitely have stopped since he asked, and now I get so much more excited when he brings it up (:
