Hi ladies,

I'm new to the subreddit and I have to say, I've really enjoyed reading your posts and learning more about this subculture. I think the whole concept of TRP is about respecting yourself, your ability to make decisions, there's an inherent dignity about accepting a role and accepting that you have control over your own actions and life. A big problem with modern feminism that I personally see, is that it's lacking a concrete goal. For example, first wave feminism fought for suffrage, second wave about having the choice to have a career and reproductive rights. Third wave feminism seems to not have a have the same purpose, it seems like its goals are more to control and manipulate people on a personal scale (men and women alike). I would love to know your thoughts on the subject.

Anyway, onto the point of this post. As I said, I am new to RPW, and I am a medical student. I like the idea of the RP, and I intend to use its principles as much as I can. But I don't know if I can be submissive and feminine in my role as a doctor. A lot of cases I see requires us to lose some of our "softness" in order to cope with the stress of the job. I guess I'm wondering how you guys cope with this kind of conflict?

TL;DR : how do you balance being a "soft" RP lady while remaining effective in a male-dominated and stressful field?
