Can fishnets ever be classy?

I've worn nude colored fishnets before and the vibe is a lot different from black fishnets.

Tightly knit fishnets look better than loose ones imo and can be nice paired with tasteful outfits. It's all about the whole look imo.

I once saw a lady at a place I worked.... She had on white fish nets under her skirt (just above the knee) and with a blouse. She totally rocked it and was not trashy at all.

I think they can be with the right outfit, and I like them for rock concerts, but generally I avoid them because I'm not anywhere near my goal weight and I feel like an unpleasant caricature in them.

Unfortunately, their connotation is very negative. Some people think they’re trashy and some people think they’re childish. (How disturbing is it that one accessory could simultaneously be both “trashy” and “childish”?)

I say they can be classy, if played right. I also agree that they can be stylish and cool, as well. With that being said, I love how versatile fashion is, and how pieces can be presented differently, depending on the other articles worn, the demeanor of said person, and other such contributing factors.

For me the answer is a qualified yes. They need to have smaller holes, like a more retro style of fishnet. And they need to make sense with the outfit.

That woman is hot so she can get away with wearing anything and make it look classy.
Ripped jeans is not classy more trashy to trendy kind of outfit I think the fence kind of fishnets are kind of trashy but if they are subdued then they look good. The thing about woman’s hosiery is that it’s generally rare for young woman to wear hosiery today. So anything you wear will get noticed. I’m a big fan of hosiery because it is rare. Your efforts would not go un noticed

Unfortunately I've never been attached to a man who doesn't love them. I've asked why but they never have very clear answers.

I buy the finer weave and wear them and keep my eye-rolling internal. :)
