Has anybody been banned in other subs for participating in this one?

March 5, 2021

I just got a bot DM informing me that I have been banned from r/offmychest for participating in this sub and its "promotion of incel/redpill/mgtow ideology." Apparently the users here are "uncontrollable and belligerent." I've got a screenshot of the message I was sent as well. For the record, I've been in this subreddit since 2018 and this is obviously a ridiculous decision by the staff controlling the bots.

I know this is off-topic, but considering that TRP was quarantined and subsequently made private, there's a good chance that r/RedPillWomen will face similar treatment. It seems important to speak up and sound the alarm.

Imagine feeling threatened by young women who don’t believe in riding the cock carousel but do believe in physically, cognitively and emotionally being the best versions of themselves to land a quality man. Imagine believing that women embracing their feminine psychology makes them uncontrollable and belligerent. So comical. Ladies hold your heads up high and know exactly what sort of betas and triggered feminists are censoring you.

[–]DeLovehlyCoconute 6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

They reek of insecurities.

[–]Formal-Mail-2998 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly you are a breath of fresh air.

[–]Mewster18185 Star 52 points53 points  (14 children) | Copy Link

I couldn't say I've been banned specifically because of my participation here. But I have been banned in several subs because of commenting in Tumblrinaction or in Conservative.

A lot of those subs have ban bots that auto ban people who have a history in subs that are deemed "hateful" even when that person has never participated in the sub they're getting banned from before.

I don't particularly mind, but I do find it funny how sensitive and pathetic people can be... I might have different opinions but I've never gone out of my way to be anything but respectful and polite to others. Guess I'm dangerous though.

[–]DeLovehlyCoconute 18 points19 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny how these groups are always so "tolerant". They have to say it, out loud and often, or the rest will catch on to how evil they really are. Hiding behind kind words only when it benefits them. These types are so underhanded, which is so not a desirable quality to have, and will ruin all of their their relationships.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

I've always been a contrarian lady. I'm sure that between this sub and my membership in r/Conservative and r/Libertarian, I'll get banned from r/bisexual pretty soon. As though being bi is mutually exclusive with being in the subs Reddit does not like HA.

[–]Mewster18185 Star 10 points11 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

I don't get the weird hatred of bisexuality... I guess y'all are too close to us despicable heterosexuals?

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

I've commented before on r/bisexual about how I was treated by the LGBT community and people who I thought were my friends. It really comes down to the idea of compulsive heterosexuality or "comphet," which is the mirror image of religious/right-wing people saying that homosexuality is a choice. Basically a bunch of woke ideologues decided for me that I was a lesbian and didn't know it yet, and my heterosexual attractions were just put upon me by society and the patriarchy. The same logic was used to pressure me into being more promiscuous than I was comfortable with, and that eventually ended in a dumpster fire.

I've moved states since then, and I've only recently started opening up to others about my bisexuality as well as what happened. I never told anyone because I thought that my sexual history (even though it's not that bad) would be used against me, as that was my experience in the past, in both directions: shamed by my mother when she found out I was no longer a virgin, then shamed by the gays for not whoring around enough. Granted, plenty of straight women have gotten around more than me, but still.

Short answer is: yes.

[–]merabaid 5 points6 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

Wait, what? I don't even know how to respond.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Which part?

[–]merabaid 5 points6 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

They decided you were lesbian and didn't know it because... patriarchy?

[–]taikutsuu 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Not OP but: Yes.

They (the weird ones) believe being attracted to women is better, or that any partial attraction to men is some sort of "shortcoming" or undervaluing of yourself. They think women are brainwashed, again by men, into being attracted to men. Bisexuals get the worst of it. Sort of like, "if you're capable of being attracted to women, why care about men at all?". It's fucking weird. They act like authorities on sexual attraction.

[–]MattsyKun 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I remember seeing a post about this recently.

There's a lot of "ew men, men are gross, why not just like women" posts. Which is hurtful to men (I mean, I'd be pretty hurt if women told me I was a horrible gross person on the regular), and hurtful to women who like men. And of course, as you mentioned, bisexuals.

Its also hurtful to lesbians who may have been with a man in the past. It's like "ew, you had sex with a man? You're gross".

On TOP of that, it's hurtful to trans men. A trans man may want to transition, but then all these people come out and say "man pig, man bad", and they start to think "I don't want to be a man, even though I feel like a man" (sadly, I have seen people think this due to this whole "man bad" line of thought)

These kinds of people seem to want to enshrine women as the best because patriarchy or something. It's weird, and downright hurtful; we shouldn't have to tear someone down to elevate ourselves.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. This. All of this.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

u/taikutsuu is right on this. I don't think people realize the degree to which certain sects of the LGBT community are obsessed with oppression, gender, sex, and sexuality. I lived amongst people like this for years -- never again. I still find women really hot, but in terms of the dating scene, it's a lot easier to find a straight guy who isn't like this than it is to find a bisexual/lesbian woman who isn't like this.

[–]WriteOfCenterrr 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Holy fuck. Lol

[–]MattsyKun 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yep! Got banned years ago for TumblrInAction. And, (this might have changed from before) in order to appeal your ban you basically have to beg them to unban you and promise you'll never use those subs again.

Its fine, though. If they don't want to have a calm, polite discussion about things, that's on them. It is a bit cheap to use a bot to do it, and I wish Reddit would actually do something about that portion of it.

[–]Mewster18185 Star 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol, I've never even tried to use those subs so it's really no skin off my back.

Besides I like TiA, I'm not going to apologize in order to appease some hoity-toity, miserable, reddit neckbeard mod.

[–]toomanytocount007 22 points23 points  (12 children) | Copy Link

A while ago, I was banned from r/breakingmom I never even made a post on this page; I’m not even sure I had commented on any rpw posts at that point. they somehow still banned me. Edit to add, looked back and mods reason was due to “high volume of toxic and rude behavior coming from this sub and toxic culture”

[–]thesixthamethyst 15 points16 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

Same exact situation. I hadn’t contributed here yet, just subbed to see what it was all about. That was okay with me. Breakingmoms culture could be a little toxic itself being that you could never say anything that wasn’t congratulatory or back patting. A lot of those women needed a little constructive criticism. It was basically turning into a place that existed solely to validate shitty behavior.

[–]toomanytocount007 12 points13 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. They definitely have a way with words, very shortly after they banned me; I remember seeing someone post an article about drop kicking their baby to the moon and I was like, wow. I honestly cannot believe people would even jokingly say something along those lines. And I definitely did notice that while I was still part of that group, any advice given was; it’s not you, it’s your husbands problem or I can’t believe your husband/boyfriend/partner whatever would say something like that or expect that of you. I had commented on one moms post where she honestly seemed like she was dealing with alcohol issues and I pointed out that kind of lifestyle really is destructive and that it will take a huge toll on her relationship with her husband, she’s responded that she totally agrees and that she knows she started a lot of their fights and then people were telling ME that the things I were saying were wrong and how dare I say she has a problem with booze and blah blah blah. Like really??? The mom who posted is agreeing with what I say but some random internet folks are telling me to mind my own. Ah well. The internet, am I right?

[–]Mewster18185 Star 12 points13 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

R/pregnant is the sane way... 85% of the posts are just people complaining about how horrible their friends, family, partners, etc are... the offending factors? Overused pregnancy jokes and people using the pregnancy as small talk. And don't you dare try to be a voice of reason and point out that it's just people trying to be polite and connect a bit.

Like I guess I know where the stereotype of pregnant ladies being crazy comes from... but something tells me these ladies weren't exactly the most stable prior to pregnancy either.

[–]toomanytocount007 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Ha. Yeah, I used to go on baby center when pregnant. It’s absolutely insane how it used to be a great place to have civil discussion and ask questions without shame. Now the boards are run over with trolls and snarks.

[–]aleatingasandwich 9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Agree. A lot of humans create their own problems, and never being able to even gently point it out is just reinforcing bad behavior and toxic relationships.

[–]clitorophagy 6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

breakingmoms seemed complaint and gossipy. I’m more interested in doing the right thing myself rather than picking apart other people

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]clitorophagy 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

the mean way that people talk about their kids and their partner, I’m not here for that anyway go ahead and kick me out

[–]throwaway9732121 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is all of reddit with a few exceptions.

[–]Nandemodekiru 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The irony given the amount of whining I see on that sub.

[–]1987dd1987 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Same here although I did make a red pill women post. My post was about books and podcasts to use as resources lol.

[–]KombuchaEnema4 Stars 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

r/offmychest will ban you if the wind happens to be blowing in the wrong direction.

[–]Pillsburyfuckboy 12 points13 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Its crazy how those who claim the loudest to be for tolerance and kindness are the most intolerant bullies

[–]1987dd1987 11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Someone else posted about exactly this 12 days ago... I remember because I shared my experience of getting banned from r/breakingmom

[–]thinkreate 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned from an nsfw subreddit when a woman posted a pic and titled it, “Do you know what my nipples taste like?” I said, “No, but I’ve always been partial to cool ranch.”

[–]Protocol_ApolloTRP Endorsed 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Welcome to Reddit. Where a cabal of childish toxic power mods get to moderate most of the main subs and get high on having such authority.

[–]supremeunicorn11 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I was from r/blackladies from "participating" in this sub. And this was after just commenting a recommendation for Copper IUD!

[–]clitorophagy 12 points13 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

[–]skullbass696969 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Your username ! Lmao

[–]lovelyllamas 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s appalling. I’m sorry 😞❤️

[–]TheBunk_TB 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Weird that I have never been too active here (outside of research) and “black ladies “ auto banned me “for now”.

[–]clitorophagy 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it’s enough to be a part of this or any red pill subs. Quarantine

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Same and fds. I still follow and perfectly ok not contributing. If something really moved me I just send an award lol.

[–]clitorophagy 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I still follow it too. I actually support the moods of whatever group making whatever rules they want about who can contribute and who can’t. Moderating a group is voluntary work and if that makes it easier why not?

[–]DeLovehlyCoconute 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

There's not much you can do with Reddit at this point. Just ignore it and block them. Stay out of woke subreddits, and you'll eventually find decent people.

[–]__CitrusJellyfish 12 points13 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Hurts me to see that we’re being lumped in together with the incels. Re: the risk of becoming quarantined, perhaps we should rename ourselves the burgundy tablet women to avoid the red pill stigma on reddit

[–]Yharnam_Queen 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

And equating RPW with MGTOW. Like... how?

[–]__CitrusJellyfish 7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes haha, RPW is pretty much the reverse

[–]Yharnam_Queen 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd love to hear the reasoning behind that haha

[–]__CitrusJellyfish 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Yes, not banned per say but have had my comment history stalked by other users and called out even though the subject of discussion was completely unrelated and I made no mention of rpw values. Subs include r/ausfinance r/askmen r/dating

[–]Nandemodekiru 16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Ugh, I remember commenting on a post in r/Deadbedrooms and the woman replied that since I posted on RPW, that she “literally had no interest in what I had to say.” She then proceeded to make another account, FOLLOW me, and make inflammatory remarks on all of my posts. All I said to her was that Tinder was probably an unreliable dating site 😂 People are weird

[–]Javret 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I've also had my comment history stalked. I was in a sub that is big internationally so RPW/RP isn't that much of a talking point but it was still kinda awkward.

It's almost like people think that because I have been in this sub before, I am not allowed to know other things...

[–]melouwho 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes it is a joke

[–]arabiandoll 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I randomly got banned too lmao

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup! I was also banned from r/offmychest and r/breakingmom

[–]Yelly 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

/r/offmychest banned me, too.

[–]drewshaver 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a despicable yet somewhat common occurance, unfortunately. Aside from the RP subs, participation in some others like /r/conspiracy and /r/GoldandBlack can also get you banned from random subs

[–]goblinkate 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, and I didn't even try to post or comment on anything, they just found me and blocked me. I wrote the mods a respectful message about how I think what they're doing is important but that the decision is unfair and never got a reply.

[–]Sylerxen 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This used to happen to me when I was subbed to the red pill and some other stuff I was curious about.

[–]Crazy_Cranberry666 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

R/redpill used to be quite different, i think it still has that reputation.

At the start it was all comments like 'all women are bitches. Lie to them and they'll let you fuck them' 'don't take women seriously, they'll ruin your life'

Now it's more 'focus on self improvement, be your best self and the women will follow'

It's a lot less radical, and way more positive now. But why would anyone actually read what's being said right?

[–]Skatta101 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I just got banned this is so weird

[–]merabaid -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. Can this be taken up with someone in charge?

[–]throwaway9732121 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

how does this work? Is it a bot who checks history and bans you?

[–]kneesofthetrees 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

I don’t know if it’s a bot or a moderator, but they see on your profile which subs you’ve joined, even if you’re not an active participant in them.

[–]throwaway9732121 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

just viewed this sub for the first time and I can't comment lol

[–]Mewster18185 Star 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Some of the subs do have a bot that will automatically ban users from "hate subs". Offmychest is known to be one of the subs that uses that bot.

[–]throwaway9732121 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

there is so much control over who you can let into your sub, yet they still need to ban subs to prevent them from converting people to different view points. truly a disgusting platform.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned from that sub too

[–]JoinMyFramily0118999 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I just lurk here. There's /r/banned , they talk about getting banned from subs for participating in a different sub all the time. Haven't seen anyone mention this sub, but it could be the demographic here vs there.

That said, I'm pretty sure Reddit has some rule against that. They let FPH exist for so long because it DIDN'T leak.

[–]TheBunk_TB 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Try getting kicked out of one of the DB subs. Not for commenting here but due to differences of opinion and snitching

[–]PLAY-TITANFALL-2 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean, one of our cousin subs is filled with racist incel 16 year olds, and even trough i find this sub to be unharmful in comparison to the other redpill sub, im pretty sure some nasty stuff has been said about the kind of people that end up as admins in reddit commuities.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
