Hi ladies!

Not 100% relationship related but I think you are still the people to talk to.

I'll keep it short and sweet, it's been a rough year and and I've always had general anxiety but it's been really kicking into full swing and it's a bit of a downward spiral effect. It's moved from mild to moderate and I really don't want to see severe.

I alluded to it a bit in my past post but it is naturally been a strain on my relationship. Thankfully my SO has been supportive and helpful as can be, including doing the legwork on meeting with a counselor. But, I know this is going to take some concerted effort on my part to get to the other side.

So, my question for you. I definitely need to implement more self-care and self-love into my life -- but I am a psycho structure unrelenting rule freak with unreasonable expectations and unachievable standards (ie. I don't just 'go' to the gym -- I'm either there 1.5 hours a day 6 days a week, or not at all...usually the former). So the anxiety thing is..not much of a surprise.

I need to take baby steps that are enjoyable -- I'm not ready to trust myself to be moderate instead of going full boar crazy and setting myself up for failure.

One idea I had, and this is where I want advice (though am also open to other suggestions!) is setting up a relaxing, but productive nighttime routine to enjoy and wind myself down at the end of the day. So, I don't want to light candles and sit in a chair and do nothing. But more like finding good moisturizing products and taking care of my skin, implement my flossing/brushing maybe into that time, perhaps I could do something for my hair? I will also be using scented candles though (:

Anyway if any of you have a relaxing beauty/care routine you could share I would so love it. I'm thinking something that takes 30-45 minutes and is just a bit of pampering that will make me look/feel/be better would be perfect to do 5-7 days of the week.

Thank you!!
