I've been waiting for this moment over for two years, and it's safe to say that I'm really exited to start a new chapter in life, along with my fiancee! With that said, I'd like to really thank this community for allowing me to lurk here, as well as get advice and wisdom that really enhanced my relationship. I also want to ask some questions: What did you do in the early stages of marriage, in order to put your best foot forward into this special relationship? Also, have you got any ideas on how to spend the honeymoon, since we cannot travel anywhere due to Covid? Every bit of advice is appreciated!

Thanks for this advice! I think it's safe to say that I am showing him respect, as well as looking forward to all aspects of marriage. With that said, may I ask what you mean by "not taking him guaranteed"?

This is from a guy’s perspective but I think what they’re trying to say by that is don’t take him for granted. As a couple you continue to pursue each other... and that’s how love continues to grow :) Also don’t get complacent

I think I understand. Does this stem from the rule saying that a person is never yours, and it's just your turn, and therefore, if you want your turn to last your whole life, you muat provide enough value for them to stick around?

I mean I wouldn’t go as far to say that but you don’t want to be the person who acts out and treats him bad everyday (not saying you will). Relationships are work, but look at it like any other friendship just a lot deeper

look up to him for guidance etc. and tell him that you feel protected and safe. Sounds primitive, but it will make him feel great and motivate him more for other things

Why can't you travel?

Go on a driving trip to a cabin in the mountains or something. Be lone with yourselves and nature. Go Camping. Etcetc.

There is a quite strict lockdown in our country, and even hotels are closed.

Yeah, even at the height of COVID restrictions, I cant imagine a lock down that makes it so you can't drive to the woods and pitch a tent.

It depends on the country. Land can be privately owned or a national park, especially if its somewhere smaller than the states.

In my country, most forests are owned by the government and it is illegal to camp in them outside of campsites. I hope this clears things up!
