Our troll storm has abated after a tough three days. It used a LOT of moderator resources deleting threads and banning users. Reddit was very helpful once they got to our case, hopefully the culprit is shadowbanned for good.

Thank you for those who reported the troll posts, especially where he made comments in other threads because this is much harder for us moderators to find, compared to ALL CAPS top posts.

One reason we don't want people to engage the trolls is, this has resulted in harsh mod actions taken against good, legitimate users. In the middle of a troll storm, it's hard to spot check every user, so comments TO the troll that mods removed were in the moderation log which was compiled to send to Reddit administration. Fortunately, Reddit admins found 3 non-troll users who were inadvertently lumped into the list of troll accounts. If they took action it would have hosed Reddit for these users!

We are working on the subreddit settings to help prevent this problem in the future. Some of Reddit's features "break" over time, so we have to experiment with them in our repair attempts. You may see posts like this in the next few days

TEST POST PLEASE DISREGARD

This is your mod team working on the subreddit filters, and testing the results using mod and non-mod accounts. These are quickly deleted after testing; if you see one of these posts, that's why. We're doing most of the experimenting in a sandbox environment subreddit so as not to disrupt forum activity on RPW, but some things we need to live-test to get them working correctly here.

Thanks for your patience through this troll storm, looks like things should be back to normal by now.

Regards, -The Mod Team
